The focus of this exciting new series of workshops will be on deepening self-awareness and self-compassion, and strengthening resilience. Together, we will learn to respond rather than react to life’s many challenges through the lens of mindfulness meditation and self-compassion practices.
We will work with our minds to transform our lives, much as people have done for centuries, and learn about the ways contemporary science is now validating these ancient practices. Through mindful listening and speaking, and formal and informal meditations, we will weave a communal net of individual and group awareness and meaningful inquiry to strengthen our connections to ourselves, one another, and those we may serve.
This new series will continue to build on the successful summer 2026 workshops guided by experienced mindfulness teacher, Amy Bloom Connolly, which honored the practices and teachings of the Monks’ Walk for Peace.
Each participant will also receive a CD (or if preferred, a link to the MP3) recording of Amy’s Nurturing Yourself Through Mindfulness . These two guided meditations can be an invaluable support to establishing or strengthening your regular at-home practice.
Participants may enroll in one, several, or all of the programs. While your greatest benefit would come from continued steady participation, each workshop will provide practical benefits if you can attend only once or intermittently. It is our hope that over time and with continuity, a mindfulness practice community will emerge at the Well.
