SUMMARY:Who Do I Say That I Am?: It’s Time to Own My Own Story (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:“When we reject the single story\, when we realize that there is never a single story…we regain a kind of paradise”\n– Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie \nWe are more than a name\, title or circumstance. Jesus asks of Peter\, “Who do you say that I am?” How can we answer that same question for ourselves with authenticity? Who do we say that we are? Who better to answer the question than ourselves? \nThe novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie warns us about falling into the trap of a single story. Our life is not linear and what we share about our story can be multi-faceted. Others may be too quick at modifying\, erasing or at times de-valuing our story. As God’s beloved\, and with the rich community of this gathering\, we can start – or refuel – the process of owning our story. \nJoin experienced and gifted coach\, consultant\, author\, minister\, group and retreat leader\, Sandra Dorsainvil\, on this meaningful journey of owning your story. Through contemplative practices\, group conversations\, and journaling\, Sandra will invite your recognition of your story. You will then have an opportunity to write\, speak\, or creatively present your own story as led by Spirit in the safety of spiritual community. \nIt is up to us to own our story and speak it\, as we want it to be remembered. You are warmly welcomed to join Sandra and fellow seekers to ponder your story. Join us! \nDATE: Saturday\, November 1\, 2025 \nTIME: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM \nCOST: Early Bird Discount (purchased by 9/28/25) – $45; Regular Cost (purchased 9/29/25 and after) – $55 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W.
