SUMMARY:Tending the Inner Garden: A SoulCollage® Retreat (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:This program has reached its seating capacity and is now sold out.  We have created a wait list in case someone is unable to attend.  You can add your name to the wait list here. \nBy mid-summer\, Maryland gardens are bursting with life—coneflowers dance in the breeze\, weeds throw parties\, tomatoes are everywhere\, and the bugs act like they own the place! Between what’s blooming\, wilting\, chomping\, or taking over\, there is always something asking for attention. Tending the garden becomes an act of love\, patience\, good humor… and sometimes a little pruning. \nOur inner gardens are not so different. \nIn the fullness of summer\, when the outer world is blooming\, buzzing\, and bright\, Tending the Inner Garden invites you to pause\, breathe\, and gently notice what is growing within you. What is flourishing? What feels tangled or thirsty? What is quietly calling for care in this season of your life? \nWith gentle guidance\, imaginative prompts\, and the intuitive\, image-based practice of SoulCollage®\, you will be encouraged to step into your own sacred inner garden—a place of truth\, longing\, healing\, and becoming. Together in this spacious\, fun and creative retreat\, we will explore what’s flourishing\, what’s a bit overgrown or wilting\, and what is quietly waving for your attention. \nNo artistic or collaging experience is needed. SoulCollage® is a simple\, accessible process that uses images rather than words to give voice to the soul. You will create your own SoulCollage® cards using images from magazines and other sources. This simple practice of selecting images\, cutting and pasting is relaxing\, playful\, and deeply meaningful. \nAs we create and reflect on our cards\, we will practice listening with compassion and responding with gentleness\, trusting that insight often emerges when we offer ourselves the gift of tender attention. \nAll materials are provided. This retreat welcomes everyone—whether you are new to SoulCollage® or have experience with this meaningful and enjoyable spiritual practice! \nPlease bring a bag lunch and come as you are—no weeding required! \nDATE: Saturday\, August 22\, 2026 \nTIME: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $70 \nREGISTRATION is now closed; join the wait list here. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. SUMMARY:Honoring Late Summer\, Preparing for Fall - A Sacred Circle Dance Gathering for Women (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:This program has reached capacity and is now sold out.  You may add your name to the wait list here in case someone who is already regsitered is unable to attend.  \nWe are delighted to welcome back Lisa Bardack\, Sacred Circle Dance Facilitator\, for another sacred circle dance gathering at the Well! These intimate sessions have become a tradition at the Well to mark the turning of the seasons with soulful movement and connection\, bringing a beautiful energy that continues to resonate throughout the Well long after the music fades. \nSacred circle dance is a collective dance experience that draws from ancient and traditional folk dances\, many from Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Dancing to wonderful music and rhythms\, we join the circle of grandmothers who initiated these dances and passed them on. Dancing in their footsteps\, we experience a sense of something greater than ourselves\, a continuum of which we are a sacred part. The dances connect us to the rhythm of the seasons\, evoking joy\, peace\, insight\, healing and a deep sense of community and interconnection with each other and all life. \nIn Traditional Chinese Medicine\, Earth is the element associated with the season of late summer. As we move from the more yang/outward energy of summer toward the more yin/inward energy of fall\, the Earth provides us with the nourishment and grounding we need to help with this seasonal transition. In this circle dance gathering\, we will dance to honor Earth’s abundance\, generosity\, and support. As the fall equinox nears\, we’ll explore the dance between being and doing in an often busy season and acknowledge the need to let go of that which no longer serves us to create space for the new. \nNo dance experience is required (just basic mobility and coordination)\, as the dances are simple to moderately easy\, and the step sequences repetitive. Lisa will gently guide us in the dance steps and share meaningful information on the origins of each dance. You can dance in bare feet\, socks\, or soft soled shoes. \nIf you love to dance\, or perhaps love the idea of sacred dance and are curious to learn more\, come and enjoy a beautiful afternoon of movement meditation in the safe and nurturing environment that is the Well! Registration is limited to 8 participants\, so please don’t delay! \nTo learn more about sacred circle dance and Lisa\, please visit Lisa’s website. \nDATE: Saturday\, September 12\, 2026 \nTIME: 2:00 – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $40 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is for this program is now sold out; please join the wait list HERE. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. SUMMARY:Imagining Possibilities: A Journey into Focused Music Imagery (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:Please have Meagan return and produce a follow up course – Russell Wright \nI loved everything about this time spent! The meditation and creations were so wonderful! – A Participant \nI enjoyed Meagan’s class as it brought me to a place where I needed healing. She is gentle and caring in her approach. I hope her class is offered again. – A Participant \nImages—like those that arise in dreams—can help us make sense of experiences that are difficult to put into words. Focused Music Imagery (FMI) is often described as “dreaming to music while awake.” Through guided listening\, imagery\, drawing/writing\, and reflection\, participants are invited to discover personal meaning and connection within their own inner experience. \nWe are delighted to welcome back Meagan Hughes\, a Licensed Professional Music Therapist\, for another enlightening workshop in Focused Music Imagery. This program blends information-sharing with a guided\, experiential session\, offering participants a first-hand glimpse into how music and imagery can work together to support insight\, emotional awareness\, and personal growth.  The program is open to those new to Focused Music Imagery as well as those already familiar with the practice\, as each FMI experience is unique and responsive to the present moment. \nThe session will begin with an invitation to choose an image from those provided that resonates with you. The chosen image and your associations with that image will serve as a gentle focus for the experience. After an overview of FMI\, Meagan will guide the group into a brief relaxation supported by carefully selected music. In a relaxed state and with a chosen focus in mind\, you will be invited to notice your body\, emotions\, and any images that arise—whether visual\, sensory\, or felt. After several minutes of imaging\, you will be invited to write or draw what comes to you and then reflect together as a group. \nFMI is an active and intentional practice. While music alone can soothe and relax\, FMI holds broader possibilities\, inviting participants to explore what is most needed in this moment and helping us connect with the emotional and intuitive parts of ourselves that arise naturally through experiences with music and imagery. \nNo musical or artistic experience is needed. This program is open to anyone interested in creative self-exploration and the transformational possibilities of music. Simply bring your curiosity and the open ears of your heart. To learn more about FMI\, visit Meagan’s website at https://www.musicalmethodsmt.com/. \nDATE: Saturday\, September 19\, 2026 \nTIME: 2:00 – 3:30 PM \nCOST: $35 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required.  Note this program has an early registration date of of 9/12.  Please register early!  Register HERE! \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. If you are unable to find the email\, please check your SPAM or JUNK email folders. This email will include details to help you prepare for your program including any pertinent handouts\, location information\, and the ZOOM link for online programs. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Meagan Hughes \nFACILITATOR BIO:\nMeagan is a Licensed Professional Music Therapist with over 15 years of experience in academic\, clinical\, and community settings in the U.S. and Europe. SUMMARY:The Mantra Within: Engaging Your Sacred Voice as Spiritual Practice (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:Discover the transformative power of sacred sound in this experiential workshop exploring ancient mantra\, vocal resonance\, and personal practice. Together\, we will learn two of the most revered yogic mantras—the Gayatri Mantra and the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra—exploring their origins\, meanings\, and the wisdom they have carried through generations. \nParticipants will be guided through the practice of toning\, using their own voices as instruments for healing\, self-discovery\, and inner transformation. Through embodiment of sound\, breath\, and vibration\, we will explore how the voice can become a pathway to greater presence and connection. \nThrough periods of meditation\, rest and silence\, the invitation is to experience the stillness beneath and beyond sound—the space from which all sound arises and returns. This exploration of the “sound behind the sound” offers an opportunity to deepen awareness and cultivate inner listening. \nDrawing on the insights and experiences of the day\, each participant will be guided in creating a personal mantra—a unique combination of sounds or words that resonates with their own intentions\, energy\, and path. \nNo previous experience with chanting\, singing\, or mantra practice is necessary. All voices are welcome. \nDATE: Sunday\, September 20\, 2026 \nTIME: 1:00 – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $55 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. SUMMARY:Women at the Well: What's Love Got to Do with It? Rewriting our Stories Through the Lens of Love (In-Person Program)

DESCRIPTION:“I had such a wonderful evening. I wish that I could meet with this same group every week. Lindsey was a marvelous facilitator.” – Maureen Z \n“I didn’t know what to expect-I didn’t want more journaling experts try to make it sound easy\, but the workshop title drew me. Well\, I needn’t have worried! Lindsey’s approach was practical\, empowering\, & spiritually satisfying all at the same time. Her prompts & opportunities to share (& think) were terrific. Participants will engage in a variety of individual and group exercises and also learn strategies to continue this practice on their own time. No prior writing or journaling experience is needed for this evening of self-care\, laughter\, and healing through writing. \n\n  \nDATE: Wednesday\, September 30\, 2026 \nTIME: 6:00 – 8:00 PM \nCOST: $35 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. SUMMARY:Listening Beneath the Leaves – A SoulCollage® Retreat (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:“Slowly she celebrated the sacrament of Letting Go…\nFirst she surrendered her green\nthen the orange\, Yellow\, and red…\nfinally she let go of her Brown…” \n~ Macrina Wiederkehr\, The Sacrament of Letting Go \n \n\nAs autumn unfolds\, trees begin the ancient work of release. Some leaves drift slowly to the earth in a graceful dance of color. Others are swept away by fierce wind and storm\, stripping the branches bare. Each\, in its own time\, lets go\, reminding us that release is not always easy or graceful\, yet it remains part of life’s sacred rhythm. \nOur own lives often follow this same rhythm. Some seasons invite us to release gradually\, while others bring unexpected change that asks us to let go before we feel ready. Both can become acts of trust that make space for rest\, renewal\, and new life to emerge. \nGuided by the wisdom of the season\, we will enter this ancient rhythm through the intuitive\, image-based practice of SoulCollage®. Through creative expression\, gentle reflection\, and sacred community\, you will be invited to explore what may be ready for release\, what has come to completion\, and what quiet invitations are waiting to be heard beneath the leaves. \nThrough images and intuition\, SoulCollage® becomes a gentle companion\, helping us discover the wisdom already present within. No artistic or collaging experience is needed. Using images from magazines and other sources\, you will create your own SoulCollage®cards. The process is not about making art but about creating meaningful images that become windows into your own sacred journey. \nCome with an open heart and a spirit of curiosity as we listen beneath the leaves for the quiet voice of the soul. \nAll materials are provided. Please bring a bag lunch. Whether you are discovering SoulCollage® for the first time or returning to a familiar practice\, this retreat offers a welcoming space to slow down\, listen deeply\, and explore the wisdom within. \nDATE: Friday\, October 23\, 2026 \nTIME: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $70 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required. SUMMARY:Divine Rest - A Sacred Sabbath of Stillness & Renewal (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:Kerry is a highly intuitive practitioner who has a strong foundation in mindfulness meditation\, Yoga Nidra\, and self care. She is a delight to interact with and always goes the extra mile. I highly recommend her practice; you will come away feeling better about yourself and your place in the universe. – Erica S. \n“Kerry did an amazing job. This was the best day retreat that I ever attended at the Well for the Journey. I felt inspired and energized but really rested. Kerry presented some new concepts that I never thought about before. Earth\, wind\, fire\, water and ether are elements and we have some of every element within us. It made so much sense and gave me reason to think more about my place in this world. I really enjoyed meeting others in such an informal setting and having the opportunity to share about myself and hear about others. The sharing was caring and safe and really felt empowering. Kerry is a wonderful facilitator. I loved the yoga nidra and the sound bath and the soul collage project.” – Maria P. \n********************************************************************************** \nAre you longing to release stressors in life? Do you yearn to surrender to a Higher Power within you? Would you like to feel more connected to your Divine Source and embody that connection? \nThe Well is delighted to welcome back Kerry Martinez for another sacred day of Divine Rest\, an immersive experience designed to help you release stress\, reconnect with your sacred essence\, and cultivate deep Divine Rest. This is an experiential journey designed to connect deeply to your unique experience of the Divine. Through gentle somatic movement\, reflection\, journaling and powerful rest practices—including a sound journey and guided deep rest meditation—you will have the opportunity to soften\, surrender\, and open to the Divine within you. \nTogether\, we will take time to explore what ‘Divine’ means to you\, inviting curiosity and reflection. Through open-ended inquiry\, we’ll delve into the deeply mystical nature of how we define and experience the sacred. \nFor many years Kerry operated clinically as an Exercise Physiologist and mindful embodiment practices teacher which led her to further training and deepening in Somatics\, Yoga Practices\, QiGong\, energy work\, sound healing\, and other embodiment practices. Using this rich experience\, Kerry will lead an exploration of how stress is held in the physical body\, uncover its deeper roots\, and learn tools to assist moving stress through the body in gentle\, efficient ways. Learn how disconnection from rest affects your spiritual well-being and explore ways to reconnect consistently with the Divine in you. We will then reflect on ways to create your own Sabbath—a practice of sacred stillness and renewal. \nAll experiences of meditative sessions can be completed in a chair. You are also welcome to lie on the floor as space allows. Just bring a small pillow/neck pillow\, blanket\, and anything else that will support a comfortable experience. Any embodiment movement is gentle\, kind and for all levels and abilities. These are techniques you can take home with you to practice easily! \nCome as you are and leave feeling restored\, realigned\, and deeply connected. A simple lunch of soup and bread will be provided. Tea and coffee are also available. \nDATE: Sunday\, November 8\, 2026 \nTIME: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nCOST: – $75 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. SUMMARY:Feisty Fire Cider: Create an Herbal Wellness Blend (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:I had so much fun and took away new knowledge and ideas of how to use it. Thank you! – Dana Chaka \nThis was such a fun and inspiring program! Jenny transformed the Well into an amazing sensory experience. From the moment we walked in the door\, our senses were engaged with smells and a beautiful array of colors and decor – a warm and deeply welcoming space. We tasted a variety of Jenny’s special vinegars and treats\, and learned just enough to not be too overwhelmed but to want to learn more! Jenny generously shared from her experience\, bounty\, gratitude\, and love of the natural world while teaching us about kitchen medicine for the people. Jenny’s passion is contagious. I can’t wait to try my feisty fire cider in a few weeks! – Lorie Conway \nThis was so informative and fun! I loved learning about the properties of all the plants. Would be great to have more programs like this – connecting with nature on a spiritual level\, and learning how to use plants to enhance well being. – Mary Jo Kuhn \nI thought the surroundings were beautifully laid out\, there was abundance and variety. It was wonderful. – Kristan Joice \nJenny provided a visual and aromatic feast of herbs and spices. She transforms the space into a welcoming space. I appreciate having the handout as it was all new information for me. Jenny provides an authentic experience. – Donna Mollenkopf \nWarm your body\, awaken your senses\, and connect with the ancient tradition of herbal-based wellness. Herbalist Jenny Ehrhardt\, aka “The Herb Lady\,” has been working deeply with and loving plants for many years. You may recognize Jenny from one of her popular Sound Baths at the Well. In this lively\, hands-on workshop\, Jenny invites us to discover the art of making fire cider—a feisty herbal tonic known for “lighting your fires” and supporting vibrant health. \nTogether\, we’ll explore the healing properties of familiar spices and plants\, sample a variety of vinegar blends\, and spark memories about traditional family remedies that may have been passed down in your family. You will blend your own unique jar of fire cider to take home and create a label with a name that embodies your blend’s spirit and power. What a nourishing and loving gift for yourself or a loved one as we head into the winter season! \nJenny will also weave in moments of stillness\, sacred listening\, reflection\, and alignment with spirit in a safe and sacred space\, allowing creativity\, memory\, and connection to flourish. This is more than just a recipe; it’s a sensory experience\, a creative ritual\, and a celebration of community. Together\, we’ll honor the wisdom of the earth\, care for our bodies\, and send ripples of love and peace out into the world. \nAll materials are provided. Come curious\, leave inspired—and with your very own bottle of Feisty Fire Cider. \nPlease register early. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Jenny Ehrhardt \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nOver the last 35 years my heart has been engaged with plants of all kinds. Even as a child we always had a huge garden. We grew everything. As my Dad shifted to loving roses and all flowers\, I know that just stayed with me. I worked for a small flower farmer\, landscaping\, and a service farm where everything we grew went directly to the Maryland Food Bank and other Kitchens throughout Baltimore (Garden Harvest). I worked for a Naturopathic Doctor and began to learn how to process plants into medicine and honestly have not looked back. \nMy go to has always been herbal medicine – “Kitchen Medicine” – using ingredients you may already have in your kitchen. Fire Cider is known by most herbalists as just that – the “people’s medicine.” A few years ago\, a company tried to trade mark that name and three herbalists\, including my teacher Rosemary Gladstar\, fought in court to keep corporate out of our kitchens! \nI feel so honored and humbled to work with the plants. For 15 years I worked at farmers markets and festivals selling fire cider and many other products that I created for 10 of those years. I had my very own Apothecary in Hampden\, serving my community with affordable herbal remedies and also offering a safe space for people to gather and learn. It was very important to me to meet people where they were on this herbal plant walk. It is a remembering\, an awakening to what our bodies and hearts already know if we listen closely to ourselves and keep it very simple. Those years were very full and somewhat hectic. Today I find I am so grateful to be able to slow down and watch the wonder on people’s faces when they start to remember plants and the memories that begin to rise up.
