SUMMARY:FREE: Summer Worship in the Wild at Roland Run (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:As summer unfolds\, we warmly invite you to another Worship in the Wild gathering with Scott Slater and Greg Cochran. In the fullness of summer\, worship meets lush trails\, birdsong\, and the sacred presence that beckons us along the paths at Roland Run in Baltimore\, MD. \nScott and Greg bring with them rich experience from their time in traditional church pulpits and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. Together\, they offer a unique time of worship that blends spiritual reflection with the gifts of nature present in the moment\, while gently guiding participants along a trail where each step becomes part of a sacred journey. \nRooted in the ancient rhythm of Christian Sunday worship and expressed through inclusive and expansive language\, this time of gathering in the sanctuary of nature offers space for all to encounter the Divine—whether named as God\, Spirit\, or another sacred presence. Readings and reflections will draw from a variety of spiritual traditions and sacred texts\, honoring the wisdom that surrounds us. \nWe will gather on the sidewalk at 600 Wyndhurst Ave and walk together to the trailhead. There is street parking and parking behind the buidling. The ability to walk for a mile and stand for ten minutes at a time along the trail is required. Please dress comfortably\, wear good walking shoes\, and bring water to stay hydrated in the summer sun. \nThis offering is free\, but please RSVP for planning purposes and so that we can notify you if worship is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Thank you! \nDATE: Sunday\, July 26\, 2026 \nTIME: 4:00 – 5:00PM \nCOST: FREE but RSVP is required. \nRSVP:  RSVP HERE \nLOCATION: Roland Run\, 600 Wyndhurst Ave\, MD 21210 \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program.
