SUMMARY:Honoring Late Summer\, Preparing for Fall - A Sacred Circle Dance Gathering for Women (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:This program has reached capacity and is now sold out.  You may add your name to the wait list here in case someone who is already regsitered is unable to attend.  \nWe are delighted to welcome back Lisa Bardack\, Sacred Circle Dance Facilitator\, for another sacred circle dance gathering at the Well! These intimate sessions have become a tradition at the Well to mark the turning of the seasons with soulful movement and connection\, bringing a beautiful energy that continues to resonate throughout the Well long after the music fades. \nSacred circle dance is a collective dance experience that draws from ancient and traditional folk dances\, many from Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Dancing to wonderful music and rhythms\, we join the circle of grandmothers who initiated these dances and passed them on. Dancing in their footsteps\, we experience a sense of something greater than ourselves\, a continuum of which we are a sacred part. The dances connect us to the rhythm of the seasons\, evoking joy\, peace\, insight\, healing and a deep sense of community and interconnection with each other and all life. \nIn Traditional Chinese Medicine\, Earth is the element associated with the season of late summer. As we move from the more yang/outward energy of summer toward the more yin/inward energy of fall\, the Earth provides us with the nourishment and grounding we need to help with this seasonal transition. In this circle dance gathering\, we will dance to honor Earth’s abundance\, generosity\, and support. As the fall equinox nears\, we’ll explore the dance between being and doing in an often busy season and acknowledge the need to let go of that which no longer serves us to create space for the new. \nNo dance experience is required (just basic mobility and coordination)\, as the dances are simple to moderately easy\, and the step sequences repetitive. Lisa will gently guide us in the dance steps and share meaningful information on the origins of each dance. You can dance in bare feet\, socks\, or soft soled shoes. \nIf you love to dance\, or perhaps love the idea of sacred dance and are curious to learn more\, come and enjoy a beautiful afternoon of movement meditation in the safe and nurturing environment that is the Well! Registration is limited to 8 participants\, so please don’t delay! \nTo learn more about sacred circle dance and Lisa\, please visit Lisa’s website. \nDATE: Saturday\, September 12\, 2026 \nTIME: 2:00 – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $40 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is for this program is now sold out; please join the wait list HERE. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. If you are unable to find the email\, please check your SPAM or JUNK email folders. This email will include details to help you prepare for your program including any pertinent handouts\, location information\, and the ZOOM link for online programs. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Lisa Bardack \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nLisa Bardack\, Sacred Circle Dance facilitator\, has been dancing most of her life\, feeling a deep sense of authenticity with this art form. It was in 1997 that she first experienced Sacred Circle Dance and fell in love with this collective experience of dancing ancient and traditional steps to wonderful music from around the world. She has studied Sacred Circle Dance for over 15 years through classes and conferences nationally and internationally and has been teaching since 2008. In addition to her background in dance\, Lisa has also studied yoga\, tai chi\, qigong\, NIA\, and other forms of dance\, cultivating a seasoned understanding of body movement as an instrument for joy\, healing\, and wisdom.

SUMMARY:The Art of Herbal Teas: Embody the Sweetness of Nature from the Abundance of Right Here (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:Come slow down and reconnect with the abundance and healing of the natural world through the sensory and intuitive art of Herbal Tea making. Join herbalist Jenny Ehrhardt\, aka “The Herb Lady\,” as she shares her wisdom\, experience\, and creative presence once again in this new offering at the Well. \nIn this experiential workshop\, we will spend time with ten locally grown and respectfully gathered herbs\, connecting with each one through taste\, touch\, smell\, and energetics. Rather than simply learning about plants\, we will sit and be with them — noticing what sings to each of us and maybe what does not. Jenny loves to listen to what each person senses and feels about a plant before sharing its specific uses. You may be surprised to discover how much you already intuitively know about the plants that call to you! \nTogether\, we will explore the medicinal qualities and traditional uses of herbs such as Lavender\, Lemon Balm\, Lemon Verbena\, Tulsi/Holy Basil\, Hibiscus\, Mimosa/Rose\, Mugwort\, Calendula\, Chamomile\, and Lemongrass. (The selection of herbs is subject to change.) \nWith Jenny’s guidance and inspiration\, each participant will create 3\, 8 ounce calming herbal tea blends. Jenny will also demonstrate how to brew and strain loose tea and provide a 1-quart jar to take home for brewing. Your personal tea blends become an invitation to continue the practice at home—to pause\, sip\, breathe\, and reconnect with yourself and the living world around you. \nCome sit with the plants. Touch them. Smell them. Feel them. Listen to what they have to offer to you. Creating an herbal blend is an art that you will embody whenever you take the time to sip and connect with the spirit of the herbs you selected\, as well as with the Earth and yourself. \nAll herbs and supplies are included in the program fee. Space is limited\, so please register early! \nDATE: Sunday\, September 13\, 2026 \nTIME: 1:30 – 4:30 PM \nCOST: $150\, includes herbs and supplies \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required. Registration will close on 9/7 for this program so please register early! Please register here. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Jenny Ehrhardt \nFACILITATOR BIO:\nOver the last 35 years my heart has been engaged with plants of all kinds. Even as a child we always had a huge garden. We grew everything. As my Dad shifted to loving roses and all flowers\, I know that just stayed with me. \nI feel so honored and humbled to work with the plants. I worked for a small flower farmer\, a landscaping company\, and a service farm where everything we grew went directly to the Maryland Food Bank and other kitchens throughout Baltimore. I then worked for a Naturopathic Doctor and began to learn how to process plants into medicine and honestly have not looked back. For 15 years I worked at farmers markets and festivals selling products that I created for 10 of those years. I had my very own Apothecary in Hampden\, serving my community with affordable herbal remedies and also offering a safe space for people to gather and learn. \nIt is very important to me to meet people where they are on this herbal plant walk. It is a remembering\, an awakening to what our bodies and hearts already know if we listen closely to ourselves and keep it very simple. Those earlier years were very full and somewhat hectic. Today I find I am so grateful to be able to slow down and watch the wonder on people’s faces when they start to remember plants and the memories that begin to rise up.

SUMMARY:The Wisdom Within: Awakening the Intelligence of Head\, Heart & Body (3-Part Online Series)
DESCRIPTION:Each of us possesses three remarkable centers of intelligence—the thinking mind\, the feeling heart\, and the knowing body. Often referred to as the head\, heart\, and gut intelligence centers\, these three “operating systems” are the ways we navigate reality. Each of us naturally favors one center over the others. While this preference serves us well in many situations\, relying too heavily on a single way of engaging life causes an imbalance that can limit our perspective and veil the sacred wisdom waiting to be noticed in the other two centers. In some traditions\, this imbalance or lack of harmony is considered the root of our deepest suffering. \nIn this three-part series\, participants will discover their natural center of awareness while exploring the unique gifts of thinking\, feeling\, and embodied knowing. Through presentations\, contemplative practices\, guided reflection\, and group dialogue\, we will explore the unique strengths of each center and discover how bringing them into harmony can deepen our relationships\, transform life’s challenges\, and foster a more grounded\, compassionate way of living. \nEach session will focus on one of the centers and be facilitated by an experienced and compassionate Enneagram Coach: \n\nSeptember 17 – The Body/Gut Center – Bev Gorman\nSeptember 24 – The Heart/Emotion Center – Paula McCoach\nOctober 1 – The Head/Thinking Center – Jay Davies\n\nJoin Bev\, Paula\, and Jay for this engaging and life-affirming program. No prior knowledge or experience regarding the centers or the Enneagram is needed. \nDATES: Thursday\, 9/17\, 9/24\, and 10/1/26 \nTIME: 7:00 – 8:30 PM ET \nCOST: $90 \nLOCATION: ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is required. SUMMARY:Imagining Possibilities: A Journey into Focused Music Imagery (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:Please have Meagan return and produce a follow up course – Russell Wright \nI loved everything about this time spent! The meditation and creations were so wonderful! – A Participant \nI enjoyed Meagan’s class as it brought me to a place where I needed healing. She is gentle and caring in her approach. I hope her class is offered again. – A Participant \nImages—like those that arise in dreams—can help us make sense of experiences that are difficult to put into words. Focused Music Imagery (FMI) is often described as “dreaming to music while awake.” Through guided listening\, imagery\, drawing/writing\, and reflection\, participants are invited to discover personal meaning and connection within their own inner experience. \nWe are delighted to welcome back Meagan Hughes\, a Licensed Professional Music Therapist\, for another enlightening workshop in Focused Music Imagery. This program blends information-sharing with a guided\, experiential session\, offering participants a first-hand glimpse into how music and imagery can work together to support insight\, emotional awareness\, and personal growth.  The program is open to those new to Focused Music Imagery as well as those already familiar with the practice\, as each FMI experience is unique and responsive to the present moment. \nThe session will begin with an invitation to choose an image from those provided that resonates with you. The chosen image and your associations with that image will serve as a gentle focus for the experience. After an overview of FMI\, Meagan will guide the group into a brief relaxation supported by carefully selected music. In a relaxed state and with a chosen focus in mind\, you will be invited to notice your body\, emotions\, and any images that arise—whether visual\, sensory\, or felt. After several minutes of imaging\, you will be invited to write or draw what comes to you and then reflect together as a group. \nFMI is an active and intentional practice. While music alone can soothe and relax\, FMI holds broader possibilities\, inviting participants to explore what is most needed in this moment and helping us connect with the emotional and intuitive parts of ourselves that arise naturally through experiences with music and imagery. \nNo musical or artistic experience is needed. This program is open to anyone interested in creative self-exploration and the transformational possibilities of music. Simply bring your curiosity and the open ears of your heart. To learn more about FMI\, visit Meagan’s website at https://www.musicalmethodsmt.com/. \nDATE: Saturday\, September 19\, 2026 \nTIME: 2:00 – 3:30 PM \nCOST: $35 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required.  Note this program has an early registration date of of 9/12.  Please register early!  Register HERE! \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. SUMMARY:The Mantra Within: Engaging Your Sacred Voice as Spiritual Practice (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:Discover the transformative power of sacred sound in this experiential workshop exploring ancient mantra\, vocal resonance\, and personal practice. Together\, we will learn two of the most revered yogic mantras—the Gayatri Mantra and the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra—exploring their origins\, meanings\, and the wisdom they have carried through generations. \nParticipants will be guided through the practice of toning\, using their own voices as instruments for healing\, self-discovery\, and inner transformation. Through embodiment of sound\, breath\, and vibration\, we will explore how the voice can become a pathway to greater presence and connection. \nThrough periods of meditation\, rest and silence\, the invitation is to experience the stillness beneath and beyond sound—the space from which all sound arises and returns. This exploration of the “sound behind the sound” offers an opportunity to deepen awareness and cultivate inner listening. \nDrawing on the insights and experiences of the day\, each participant will be guided in creating a personal mantra—a unique combination of sounds or words that resonates with their own intentions\, energy\, and path. \nNo previous experience with chanting\, singing\, or mantra practice is necessary. All voices are welcome. \nDATE: Sunday\, September 20\, 2026 \nTIME: 1:00 – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $55 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. SUMMARY:Bringing Mindfulness to Life: Caring for Yourself & Others with Mindful Awareness\, Compassion\, and Joy (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:The focus of this exciting new series of workshops will be on deepening self-awareness and self-compassion\, and strengthening resilience. Together\, we will learn to respond rather than react to life’s many challenges through the lens of mindfulness meditation and self-compassion practices. \nWe will work with our minds to transform our lives\, much as people have done for centuries\, and learn about the ways contemporary science is now validating these ancient practices. Through mindful listening and speaking\, and formal and informal meditations\, we will weave a communal net of individual and group awareness and meaningful inquiry to strengthen our connections to ourselves\, one another\, and those we may serve. \nThis new series will continue to build on the successful summer 2026 workshops guided by experienced mindfulness teacher\, Amy Bloom Connolly\, which honored the practices and teachings of the Monks’ Walk for Peace. \nEach participant will also receive a CD (or if preferred\, a link to the MP3) recording of Amy’s Nurturing Yourself Through Mindfulness . These two guided meditations can be an invaluable support to establishing or strengthening your regular at-home practice. \nParticipants may enroll in one\, several\, or all of the programs. While your greatest benefit would come from continued steady participation\, each workshop will provide practical benefits if you can attend only once or intermittently. It is our hope that over time and with continuity\, a mindfulness practice community will emerge at the Well. \nDATE: Mondays – 9/21\, 10/19\, 11/16\, 12/14/2026 and 1/18\, 2/15/2027 \nTIME: 1:00 – 3:00 PM \nCOST: In our ongoing effort to provide meaningful programming for all\, we are pleased to offer three cost options for this program – $25\, $35\, $45. Please choose which one works best for you. These options apply to each session of this program. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required. Please register here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. SUMMARY:Back to the Dirt: Down to Earth Spiritual Practices for Wounded Souls (Online Program)
DESCRIPTION:When coping with wounds of the soul\, connection with Spirit can sometimes feel uneasy or uncertain. What brought comfort or connection before might fall short or even bring up pain now. But through a lens of spiritual wellness\, tending to our souls and connecting with Spirit often furthers and deepens our healing. \nThrough gentle\, earth-centered spiritual practice\, we can engage in a more whole and connected spirituality that nourishes our spirits. The natural world offers a steady invitation to return to ourselves\, reconnect with Spirit\, and nurture the healing already unfolding within us. \nIn this program\, eco-spiritual facilitator and guide Charity Muse will review types of spiritual wounds and the importance of tending them with care and compassion. Participants will then be guided through three eco-spiritual practices that can be easily replicated and incorporated into daily life. These practices include: \n\nA reflection practice of re-membering our connections with nature\nAn embodied practice of recognizing the abundance present within the natural world\nA practice of perspective taking and shifting to appreciation.\n\n\nParticipants will then have the opportunity to reflect and share their experiences of engaging in this down-to-earth spirituality. Copies of the practices will be provided for home use. \nWeather permitting\, some practices will take place outdoors. All activities can also be experienced indoors while gazing out a window\, and alternative options will be offered as needed. \nJoin Charity for a gentle and grounding exploration of the healing wisdom found in the natural world. \nDATE: Wednesday\, September 23\, 2026 \nTIME: 7:00 – 8:00 PM ET \nCOST: $25 \nLOCATION: ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is required.
SUMMARY:Goldmining Your Shadows – A Day Retreat in Autumn (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:“The aim of healing is to know the shadow well\, appreciate it\, and seek to integrate it – not leave it neglected to rot in a cell beneath the surface\, resigned to clanging its tin cup against the bars asking for acknowledgement and honoring. Your shadow is worthy as part of your life story\, but it is not useful as the operating manual.” ~ Pixie Lighthorse\, Goldmining the Shadows \n\nEach year\, the transition to Autumn reminds us of the meaningful and necessary work of turning inward and exploring the shadow regions of our interior landscape. Shadows are a hidden part of our unconscious selves that are buried beneath the surface of our conscious awareness and embody various emotions and beliefs which we hold about ourselves and others. While fear and shame are common emotional shadows that we carry within us\, there are various other types\, such as ego and relational-oriented shadows\, which reflect unresolved conflicts and repressed insecurities. There are also cultural and generational shadows that we can inherit from societal norms and traumatic experiences passed onto us. All of these can limit our growth and ability for connection while significantly influencing our behaviors. \nAs the Autumn season commences its work of magically transforming Earth’s terrain\, you are invited to participate in a day-long retreat that invites you to slow down and engage your shadows with tenderness and compassion\, whatever they might be. Our time together will include spaciousness for personal and collective consideration around the spiritual practice of shadow work and its purposes for reframing\, healing\, and balance. Through various rituals\, group discussion\, and periods of contemplative reflection\, participants will have the opportunity to connect with diverse sources of spiritual wisdom as we mining our respective shadowlands for the spiritual gold they contain. This will unfold within a safe and sacred community as we attempt to re-envision these parts of ourselves\, welcome their integration\, and embrace our wholeness. \nWhether you are new to shadow work or have previously explored your shadows\, you are welcome to attend. No prior experience is necessary\, only a curiosity and an openness to the gifts that shadows can provide. \nA simple lunch of soup and bread will be served. SUMMARY:Autumn Seasonal Reset: Invitation to Release and Harvest (Online Program)
DESCRIPTION:As Autumn arrives\, nature invites us into a season of release\, harvest\, and gratitude. The air shifts\, the light softens\, and we find ourselves standing at a threshold — between the abundance of summer and the quiet stillness of winter. The Autumnal Equinox offers a rare moment of balance\, when day and night stand equal\, inviting us to restore balance in our own lives. \nYou are invited to join Spiritual Director and Coach\, Lisa Beacham\, for an Autumn Seasonal Reset to honor the rich\, reflective energy of the season and the balancing power of the Equinox. This is a time to pause\, acknowledge the fruits of your labor\, and let go of what no longer serves you as you prepare for the months ahead. \nThrough guided reflection and the Personal Heart Compass tool\, the Autumn Seasonal Reset invites you to: \n\nReconnect with your heart and inner wisdom.\nCelebrate your personal harvest and cultivate gratitude.\nRelease what no longer serves you from the past season.\nExplore themes of balance\, abundance\, and the wisdom of transition.\nCreate intentions to guide you through the changing season.\n\n\nWhether you are in a season of new possibilities\, endings\, or somewhere in between\, this gathering offers space to reset and re-align. Join a community of like-hearted individuals for a meaningful pause in your year — a time to step back from the busyness\, reflect on your journey\, and step into the next season with clarity\, gratitude\, and grace. \nLet’s welcome Autumn together – with open hands\, balanced hearts\, and a deep sense of purpose. \nDATE: Sunday\, September 27\, 2026 \nTIME: 4:00 – 6:00 PM ET \nCOST: $40 \nLOCATION: ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. SUMMARY:The Gift of Deep Rest: An Hour of Yoga Nidra Meditation (Online Program)
DESCRIPTION:What comes to mind when you see the word “yoga?” Downward Dogs? Sun Salutations? Sitting on the floor with your legs in a pretzel? Well\, think again! \nYoga Nidra means “yogic sleep” and the only movement involved is whatever it takes for you to recline in a comfy chair or lie down on a bed\, sofa\, or mat on the floor. This is a guided mindfulness meditation practice that helps to relax the mind and body by simply listening to the teacher’s prompts and resting in stillness. One hour of yoga nidra is said to be as restorative as four hours of sleep. \nThe yoga wisdom teachers of the past knew the importance of rest and relaxation for health and wellbeing and passed this practice down through the ages to us. As the mind slows down\, the whirlwind of thoughts holding our attention begin to move away from us as we float in the space between waking and sleeping. As you disengage from stress-producing thoughts\, the body\, mind\, and spirit begin to rest and heal naturally. Modern research continues to affirm the benefits of Yoga Nidra\, showing significant reductions in anxiety\, stress\, and depression after guided mediation. Many participants report improved sleep\, a deep sense of calm\, and renewed energy. \nRather than driving to a yoga studio\, lying on the floor\, and driving back home again\, the Well invites you to rest comfortably in your own home (in your PJs with your camera off\, if you wish!). Suggestions for your comfort include: \n\nA quiet place to lie down or recline\nA pillow for your head and under your knees\nA blanket and socks for warmth\nIf desired\, an eye mask or pillow to block light\nA glass of water nearby\n\nThe Well is delighted to continue offering this deeply healing and restorative practice with certified Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide\, Yoga Instructor\, and I Am Yoga Nidra Facilitator\, Jamila Keita. If you are new to meditation\, have never tried or been successful at meditation\, or are just curious about yoga without any yoga poses\, we encourage you to give Yoga Nidra a try. You will be amazed at how easily you will achieve a meditative state with Jamila’s gentle guidance and soothing voice. \nPlus – Never Miss A Session! Each Yoga Nidra session will be recorded. A link to the recording will be emailed to registered participants the following day and will be available for five (5) days. You can listen as often as you like until the link expires after 5 days. \nGive yourself (and maybe a loved one!) the gift of deep rest and relaxation. Your body\, mind\, and spirit will thank you! \nDATE: Tuesdays – 9/29\, 10/13\, 11/10\, 12/8/26\, and 1/12/27 \nTIME: 7:30 – 8:30 PM ET \nCOST: $25 per session \nLOCATION: ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. This email will include details to help you prepare for your program including any pertinent handouts\, location information\, and the ZOOM link for online programs. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Jamila Keita \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nHi! My name is Evangeline “Jamila” Keita. I’ve been practicing yoga for almost 25 years and decided to teach yoga as my “retirement job.” It was during my yoga training (YT200) that I was introduced to Yoga Nidra. Immediately after completing YT200 in 2014\, I took my first Yoga Nidra training. Since that time\, I’ve taken subsequent trainings in Yoga Nidra in 2017 and 2021. I love this practice. \n\nDuring the shutdown\, I found “nature therapy.” This led me to complete a course through “The Kripalu School of Outdoor Leadership” and become a KMOG (Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide). \nI currently teach two yoga classes per week on Zoom. Each class includes poses and a short Yoga Nidra session. Since 2022\, I have provided weekly Yoga Nidra sessions for Hopewell Cancer Support Center and occasional Mindful Outdoor Experiences (MOEs). Additionally\, I work for Nature Worx\, a non-profit that provides MOEs to persons in recovery and the general public. \nI never imagined this second career as it is\, but it seems like a natural evolution to me. I hope you enjoy my offerings.

SUMMARY:Writing to Heal (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:“I had such a wonderful evening. I wish that I could meet with this same group every week. Lindsey was a marvelous facilitator.” – Maureen Z \n“I didn’t know what to expect-I didn’t want more journaling experts try to make it sound easy\, but the workshop title drew me. Well\, I needn’t have worried! Lindsey’s approach was practical\, empowering\, & spiritually satisfying all at the same time. Her prompts & opportunities to share (& think) were terrific. The group was varied & a joy to be with. This could be life changing.” – Mary Beth J. \n“Lindsey is amazing!” – Emily \n********************************************************************************* \nLindsey Pope is the author of eight books\, a speaker and workshop leader\, and a busy mom who is passionate about sharing love\, laughter\, and healing through writing. She developed Writing to Heal based on her own experience coming out of a mental health crisis with severe anxiety and depression. Lindsey used this method of writing in her own healing and found it so helpful and transformative that she felt called to share it with others. \nIn this interactive program\, Lindsey invites participants to use writing as a method for healing. Research has shown that journaling positively affects people’s mental health by lowering anxiety\, stopping rumination cycles\, and increasing self-awareness (source: www.webmd.com/mental-health/mental-health-benefits-of-journaling ). While writing is a free activity that can be done at any time and any place\, some people need a little help getting started. \nLindsey provides engaging exercises and writing prompts to help people get started in a way that’s comfortable for them\, while also encouraging participants to open up in an emotionally safe environment. Participants will engage in a variety of individual and group exercises and also learn strategies to continue this practice on their own time. No prior writing or journaling experience is needed for this evening of self-care\, laughter\, and healing through writing. \n\n  \nDATE: Wednesday\, September 30\, 2026 \nTIME: 6:00 – 8:00 PM \nCOST: $35 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W.
SUMMARY:Tending the Inner Fire: A Sacred Circle of Release and Healing for the Anger Within (In-Person Rage Circle)
DESCRIPTION:Are you finding yourself irritated\, angry\, enraged\, full of fury? So much in societal scripts and some spiritual spaces tell us these feelings are not safe\, are too much\, are not ok\, or even that we should silently carry them rather than outwardly express them in order to be holy or rewarded. And\, yet\, when we don’t tend to them\, they just get bigger\, stronger\, and more disruptive. They can begin to take a toll on our physical\, mental\, and spiritual wellbeing because they are not being acknowledged and expressed. \nA sacred circle of release\, sometimes referred to as a rage circle\, provides a safe and healing space to acknowledge what we are feeling. In this circle\, experienced Somatic Stress Release™ Practitioner Karen Bortvedt Estrada will explore both the scripting around this cluster of emotions\, as well as somatic practices that can help us to better tend to them – so they come out with less harm to ourselves and others. Between each round of the circle process\, we will go through the stress response cycle noticing activation\, coming into contact with the activation\, mobilizing the activation\, and participating in a deactivation/restoration practice. Each circle is different and adapted to the responses of participants and their bodies. We may mobilize through movement practices\, using everyday tools such as a towel\, the walls in our room\, or a pillow. We may use vocalization\, visualization\, or breath practices to help our bodies release and tend to all they are carrying. \nThe beauty of somatic work is that it is meant to meet us where we are at\, in the moment\, so the circle evolves and adapts based on the responses of our group needs. Walking away\, you will be able to better understand your patterns\, the scripts\, AND will have tools to tend to the irritation\, anger\, rage and fury as they arise so you can show up healthier and better resourced to the challenges of life. \nThe program will last 2 to 2.5 hours based on the needs of the group.  \nhttps://wellforthejourney.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Rage-Circle.mp4\n  \nDATE: Saturday\, October 3\, 2026 \nTIME: 1:00 – 3:30 PM \nCOST: $55 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required. There is an early deadline of 9/26 to register for this program. Please register here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. Her newest passion is her role as a Somatic Stress Release™ Practitioner. After years of telling folks “Fibromyalgia feels like stress stuck in my body” this modality offered clear techniques to engage with the stress response cycle. It combines Karen’s deep intuitive ability to hold space\, with movement\, restoration techniques and other support which is truly magical. Karen’s greatest passion in this work so far is working with clients who have felt they reached limits with other modalities or the medical field\, those who are feeling stuck. The ability to collaborate with a holistic healing team is the dream – as Karen’s own experience with incorporating restorative yoga\, myofascial release\, different forms of therapy and Somatic Stress Release™ has been transformational. \nKaren is a Restorative Justice Circle Keeper\, Mindfulness Practitioner\, Certified in Diversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion in the workplace\, credentialed in Mindfulness and Neurodiversity\, and trained in Nonviolent Communication. Prior to this career shift\, she spent over a decade working cross-culturally\, both domestically and internationally in a variety of non-profit organizations. One common thread through her previous roles was holding space for others and collaborating to build networks of support. After seeing and experiencing how systems in our world are built often to disconnect us from ourselves\, Karen’s passion is supporting folks in returning to their own internal wisdom. \nKaren is always looking for new resources. In 2025\, Karen completed a micro-credential in Managing ADHD with Mindfulness and The Embody Lab’s Somatic Practitioner Mentorship Program\, she is also a part of the White Women Doing the Work Leadership Cohort (a part of her commitment to doing her own work). SUMMARY:Anam Cara - A Soul Care Group for Clergy\, Chaplains\, and Spiritual Caregivers (Online Program)
DESCRIPTION:Anam cara is an old Gaelic phrase meaning “soul friend”—a relationship grounded in deep listening\, trust\, compassionate presence\, and welcome. In the Celtic spiritual tradition\, the anam cara was someone with whom one could share the deepest parts of oneself and be received without judgment. Spiritual caregivers are often the ones creating this kind of meaningful space for others. For ministers\, chaplains\, spiritual companions\, and others who offer soul care\, the act of holding sacred space for others can come at the cost of your own spiritual nourishment. Where do you go to be held? Who tends to the person who is continually tending to others? \nThe Well’s Anam Cara is a space created just for you— a small\, sacred community where spiritual caregivers (active\, retired\, or on sabbatical) can set down their roles\, rest from responsibility\, and receive the nourishment they so often offer to others\, and simply be. Each session follows a spacious rhythm of connection and reflection\, including check-in time with one another\, reflection prompts\, off-screen personal reflection time\, optional sharing\, and a closing blessing. This is intentional time to pause\, breathe\, listen inwardly\, and receive. \nWe are honored to welcome back Cecilia Amaral for another year of Anam Cara. Cecilia brings extensive experience accompanying spiritual caregivers and clergy from many faith traditions\, both individually and in groups\, as well as working with denominational staff. Cecilia is uniquely gifted at holding compassionate space for those navigating the weight and complexity of spiritual companionship and leadership today. \nCome be part of this nurturing sacred community. Let this be a season where your soul is tended with the same compassionate soul care you offer others. \nDATE: Mondays – 10/5\, 11/2\, 12/7/26 and 1/4\, 2/1\, 3/1\, 4/5\, 5/3\, and 6/7/27 \nTIME: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM ET \nCOST: In our ongoing effort to provide meaningful programming for all\, we are pleased to offer three cost options for this program – $70\, $90\, $110. Please choose the option that works best for you. \nLOCATION: ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. If you are unable to find the email\, please check your SPAM or JUNK email folders. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Cecilia Amaral \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nCecilia Amaral has a deep commitment to encourage others to nurture authentic and thriving relationships with themselves\, others\, and their environments. Her decision to retire after more than 25 years as a Pastoral Psychotherapist and Educator has transitioned into her current practice as Spiritual Director and Certified Professional Life Coach. Cecilia’s integrated approach in companioning others on their journey leads to meaningful\, personal\, and relational transformation. \n\nCecilia began her involvement with the mission of the Well by referring clients to use the programs offered for their well-being. This evolved into her service as a board member\, Board Chair\, Circle Chair\, and Spiritual Guide to the Board of Directors.

Join these gifted and captivating facilitators at the beautiful Hudson Barn on Delight Farm in Sparks\, MD for an inspiring and grounding day of drumming\, sacred dance\, reflection\, and renewal. \nThe flow of our time together will be a gentle exchange of music and motion followed by quiet reflection\, allowing each practice to deepen the next. Together we will connect to the rhythms of the Earth\, our own bodies\, and each other. Drumming is an ancient technology and one of humanity’s oldest spiritual practices that is now understood in new ways. The heartbeat lives in all of us and invites us to entrain to something bigger than ourselves. Sacred circle dance is an ancient tradition that honors the seasons and cycles of life and celebrates our interconnectedness through simple\, shared movement. \nLong before words became our primary language\, rhythm and movement connected people to the Earth\, to one another\, and to the Sacred. These ancient practices were the primary languages of human expression\, born out of the Earth. They are needed more than ever in these times of great challenge\, fragmentation\, and transformation. Drum and dance with us to ground into the energy of the Earth\, as we allow the ancestors and Mother Earth to guide us with sacred understanding. \nOur day at the farm looks like: \nMorning: Drum\, Dance\, Reflect\, Dance \nLunch: Please bring a bag lunch and beverage \nAfternoon: Drum\, Dance\, Reflect\, Drum \nNo previous drumming or dance experience is needed. Katy and Lisa will guide you every step and every beat of the way! Drums will be provided\, or you are welcome to bring your own. Come away grounded\, joyful\, and renewed. \nDon’t delay! This beautiful and meaningful event has sold out in past years! \nDATE: Sunday\, October 11\, 2026 \nTIME: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nCOST: Early Bird Discount (prior to 9/14) – $85; Regular Cost (9/14 and after) – $95 \nLOCATION: The Hudson Barn at Delight Farm – 15225 Tanyard Rd.\, Sparks\, MD 21152 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program.
