SUMMARY:Deconstructing Your Faith\, Re-envisioning Your Spirituality (Online Program)
DESCRIPTION:“The combination of Greg and Gordon was awesome!!!” – Judy Wright \n“It was very well done\, a good mix of time together\, group breakouts and meditations. Greg and Gordon created an accepting and comfortable environment.” – Nancy \nDo you ever wonder about the image of God you are carrying?… Have you reached a place in your human journey where you are questioning the faith tradition that you have been a part of and its relevance to your spiritual journey?… Has the faith community/tradition you made a home in brought wounding\, confusion\, or despair to you in navigating the transitions and thresholds of your life?… \nIf the answer that arises within you as you ponder these questions is ‘yes\,’ please know that you are not alone. Current statistics reveal to us that in the United States the number of individuals who are affiliated with a particular faith tradition and/or denomination continue to decrease. Many people are questioning the role of religion in their lives and decidedly searching for alternatives to a worship community and complicated doctrines. \nIn this sacred pursuit\, more and more questions abound as humanity struggles to listen more deeply to God’s authentic voice in their everyday lives. In this listening\, many are discovering a divine invitation to pause and reconsider the meaning underlying this reality. Perhaps\, a way to move forward is to explore the possibility of deconstructing the faith we carry while re-envisioning the purpose and possibilities of what it means to live from our deeper spiritual identity. \nJoin Well for the Journey’s own Greg Cochran and Gordon Creamer for this online series\, where we will explore the pressing questions in our hearts around this wrestling with what it means to practice the faith we carry – or were taught to carry – while welcoming a deep\, unfed spiritual hunger. At this critical juncture in our personal and collective histories\, intentionally spending time in this way is not only an act of great self-compassion and care\, it can also become an embodied expression of healing for others whom we are connected to in the world. While in the presence of sacred and safe community\, each session will invite participants to engage in a period of contemplative silence around an excerpt from various wisdom writings\, such as bell hooks\, Richard Rohr\, Barbara Brown Taylor\, and Brian McLaren among others. Also included will be opportunities for personal reflection\, journaling\, small and large group conversations\, and other creative spiritual exercises. \nBelow offers a glimpse of what the emphasis will be for each of the sessions in this series:\nSession 1 – Creating a Sacred Space to Deconstruct & Querying the Purpose of Religion\nSession 2 – The Spiritual Nature of Being Human and Becoming\nSession 3 – Coming Home to Yourself\nSession 4 – Energizing Personal & Community Spiritual Practices\nSession 5 – Living Meaningfully in Spirit \nDATES: Mondays – 3/2\, 3/9\, 3/16\, 3/23\, 3/30/26 \nTIME: 6:30 – 8:30 PM ET \nCOST: Please choose the option that works best for you! (see registration link.) \nLOCATION: ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. If you are unable to find the email\, please check your SPAM or JUNK email folders. This email will include details to help you prepare for your program including any pertinent handouts\, location information\, and the ZOOM link for online programs. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATORS: Greg Cochran and Gordon Creamer \nFACILITATOR BIOS: \nGreg Cochran \nGreg has been the Executive Director at Well for the Journey since 2010. SUMMARY:SOLD OUT: Noticing the Donkey - A Holy Week Praying in Color Meditation with the Poetry of Mary Oliver (Online Program)
DESCRIPTION:This program has reached it’s capacity and is now sold out.  We have created a wait list\, but we already have a good number of people on it.  At this point\, we encourage you to check out some of our other upcoming programs – so much that is good for the soul coming in the weeks ahead. \n \n******************************************************************************************************* \n\nLorie is always well-prepared with beautiful poems & has a very calm\, reassuring presence in these troubled times. – Marie Cournoyer \nThank you to Lorie for facilitating this program. It was a beautiful way to begin the season of Lent. – Shannon \n***************************************** \n“On the outskirts of Jerusalem the donkey waited. Not especially brave\, or filled with understanding\, he stood and waited.” — Mary Oliver \nHave you ever wondered about the donkey who carried Jesus on that triumphant\, palm-waving journey into Jerusalem? Was he merely a practical choice\, or might his humble presence offer something more for us to consider? \nYou are invited to a contemplative Holy Week gathering where we will linger with Mary Oliver’s poem “The Poet Thinks About the Donkey\,” and open ourselves to what this quiet companion may reveal about the sacred in the ordinary. \nTogether\, we will spend unhurried time in reflection and response through the spiritual practice of Praying in Color—a simple\, prayerful form of doodling with color that helps focus the heart and make space for insight. No prior experience or artistic skill is needed. All you need is white paper and colorful doodling utensils such as colored pencils\, markers\, crayons\, or pens. Lorie will guide each step of this gentle and meaningful practice. \nThere will be time for shared reflection in sacred community for those who feel led. \nDATE: Tuesday\, March 31\, 2026 \nTIME: 7:00 – 8:30 PM ET \nCOST: $25 \nLOCATION: ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is now at capacity; you can join the wait list here but we encouage you to take a look at our other upcoming programs as we already have a robust wait list! \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. SUMMARY:Anam Cara – A Soul Care Group for Spiritual Caregivers (Online Program - Morning Group)
DESCRIPTION:“I have appreciated having a space with people\, colleagues…The ability to walk and journal\, having that time carved out so other things don’t get in the way of it is helpful.” – Rev Andy McClain\n \n“I needed a community where I could be myself as an African American woman…Our Anam Cara group became the place where I could be just that. Authenticity and integrity seemed to be primary values for the group from the first time I entered.” – Rev. Freda Marie Brown\n \n“…I loved the opportunity to share new thoughts and ideas as I underwent my own spiritual transformation. I loved the openness and the refreshing way we all supported each other’s voices\, accepting with interest and love whatever was being offered\, without judgement.  – Rev. Freda Marie Brown\n \nI value opportunities for creativity\, contemplation\, and connection…and for curiosity about how it goes with each participant: How goes retirement? How goes vocational discernment? How goes caring for loved ones? How goes raising children?” – Rev. Clare Petersberger\n \n“Our Anam Cara gatherings remind me to mark the time through the changing seasons of the year and of our lives with soul friends. For all of these are holy things we will not\, cannot\, find again.” – Rev Clare Petersberger\n  \nCaring for others can be deeply meaningful—and deeply depleting. For ministers\, chaplains\, spiritual companions\, and others who offer soul care\, the act of holding sacred space for others can come at the cost of your own spiritual nourishment. The Well’s Anam Cara (Soul Friend) Group is a space created just for you—a place to receive the care you regularly encourage for others – soul care. \nThis small group\, sacred community welcomes spiritual caregivers (active\, retired\, or on sabbatical) to rest\, reflect\, and be. There are no roles to fill or responsibilities to carry. Here\, you are invited to water your own soul\, speak freely or remain silent\, and simply show up as you are—without judgment or expectation. \nWe are honored to welcome back Cecilia Amaral as facilitator for another year of Anam Cara. Cecilia has a deep commitment to encourage others to nurture authentic and thriving relationships with themselves\, others\, and their environments. Cecilia brings extensive experience working with spiritual caregivers and clergy from many faith traditions on an individual basis\, in groups\, and with denominational staff. She is uniquely gifted in holding space for those navigating the weight and complexity of spiritual companionship and leadership today. \nDue to high interest\, we are delighted to offer two online groups this year! Both groups will meet on the first Monday of the month\, October through June (with adjustments for holy days and holidays\, as needed): \n\nMorning Group – 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM ET (This website page you are reading right now is for the morning group!)\nEvening Group – 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM ET\n\n\nEach session follows a spacious rhythm: \n\nA check-in time with one another\nA reflection prompt offered by Cecila\n30 minutes of quiet\, off-screen personal reflection\nOptional sharing and a closing blessing\n\n\nCome be part of one of these nurturing circles. Let this be a season where your soul is tended with the same compassionate soul care you offer others. \nPlease Note: This registration is for the Morning Sessions. \nDATES: Mondays – 10/6\, 11/3\, 12/1/25 and 1/5\, 2/2\, 3/2\, 4/6\, 5/4\, 6/1/26 \nTIME: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM ET \nCOST: $95 \nLOCATION: ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Cecilia Amaral \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nCecilia Amaral has a deep commitment to encourage others to nurture authentic and thriving relationships with themselves\, others\, and their environments. Her decision to retire after more than 25 years as a Pastoral Psychotherapist and Educator has transitioned into her current practice as Spiritual Director and Certified Professional Life Coach. Cecilia’s integrated approach in companioning others on their journey leads to meaningful\, personal\, and relational transformation. \nCecilia began her involvement with the mission of the Well by referring clients to use the programs offered for their well-being. This evolved into her service as a board member\, Board Chair\, Circle Chair\, and Spiritual Guide to the Board of Directors.

SUMMARY:Group Spiritual Direction: Listening for the Sacred Together (In-Person with online sessions in winter)
DESCRIPTION:“I have been a part of this group for two years. Once a month\, I find respite in my busy life to connect with the divine as I understand it. Cathy holds a container that allows for deep reflection in community with other spiritual seekers.” – Rev. Karyn Marsh \n________________________________________________________ \n“We are all just walking each other home.” \n– Rumi \nDo you yearn for a deeper connection to God\, Spirit\, the Divine? Perhaps you sense an inkling that there is something more wanting to be explored – whether you come from a formal faith tradition or none at all. \nGroup Spiritual Direction (GSD) offers a safe\, sacred space for individuals to gather in community\, slow down\, and listen deeply—for the movement of the Spirit in their lives and in each other. Unlike therapy or problem-solving groups\, spiritual direction is a contemplative practice rooted in the belief that the Divine is already present and available in each person’s journey. \nIn this group\, faith traditions vary in formality and intensity\, some may have none\, and their name for God may differ\, but all are deeply committed to exploring their spiritual paths and supporting the spiritual journeys of each group member. The intent is not to ‘fix’ or advise\, but to listen attentively\, and as members caringly share what they feel and hear\, they help each other look\, with a finer lens\, at their own spiritual relationship. Gently guided by long-time Spiritual Director\, Cathy Rosensteel\, the group cultivates compassion\, connection\, and clarity\, helping each person notice the movement of Spirit in their lives. \nSeptember through November and March through May\, Cathy’s group starts their time together with a few minutes of conversation in the kitchen at Well for the Journey. During the colder months\, December – February\, they gather on Zoom from the coziness of their homes. When at the Well\, the group transitions from the kitchen to the living room to form a contemplative\, confidential and sacred listening circle. Using the GSD process formed at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Washington\, DC.\, Cathy invites the group with an opening reflection from a variety of sources\, such as\, Scripture\, poetry\, texts\, and/or prose and a time of gentle silence. When ready\, members share a response flowing from their deep listening and curiosity. This simple format\, repeated throughout each session\, invites meaningful conversation and deepening. The session closes with the sharing of prayer intentions. \nWhether you’re seeking a deeper relationship with the Sacred by whatever name\, navigating a life transition\, in need of discernment\, curious about that nagging inkling\, or simply yearning to be seen and heard in a soulful way\, GSD provides a space for deep listening\, soulful reflection\, and support for your unfolding path. \nIf you would like to join Cathy’s group or simply want to know more\, please contact the Well at 410-296-9355 or email us at programming@wellforthejourney.org. Please provide your name and phone number and Cathy will be in touch to discuss your interest. \n________________________________________________________ \n\n“I have been a member of Cathy’s spiritual direction group since the fall of 2020. Each session I jot down what speaks to me. Recently I went back and typed up my notes and then created this word cloud. Every session sparks deeper thinking and honest reflection for me. I look forward to our gathering each month.” – Becky Boynton \n \nDATES (In-Person at the Well): Saturdays – 9/13\, 10/11\, 11/8/25 and 3/14\, 4/11\, 5/9/26 \nDATES (Online via Zoom): Saturdays – 12/13/25 and 1/10\, 2/14/26 \nTIME: 8:30 – 11:30 AM \nCOST: $250 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 and ZOOM \nTO REGISTER: Please contact the Well at 410-296-9355 or email us at programming@wellforthejourney.org.  We will put you in touch with Cathy so that you may chat and determine if  this program is a mutual fit.  Once that happens and if you’d like to move forward\, we will provide you with a sign up link. \nFACILITATOR: Cathy Rosensteel \nFACILITATOR BIO:\nCathy facilitates group spiritual direction in the Shalem tradition at The Well. She has an M.A. in Spiritual Direction and Pastoral Care from Loyola University Maryland. Kindled by a week-long silent Ignatian retreat\, she developed a deep appreciation for silence and the Spiritual Exercises. Furthering her interest\, she completed the 19th Annotation of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life. Her work in this area includes leading retreats on finding silence in everyday living and walking the labyrinth. Through private practice\, Cathy is honored to provide individual spiritual direction in the Middle River and Towson areas. \nCathy’s background includes teaching teacher education candidates and directing the Special Education programs at Loyola University Maryland. She also had a notable career developing innovative programs for students with special needs\, as a teacher and administrator with the Baltimore City Public School System. \nDrawn to the outdoors\, Cathy treasures time at home on Seneca Creek with her husband and dog. SUMMARY:Sound Soul Weaving: - A Seated Sound Bath Experience (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:This program has reached it’s seating capacity and is now sold out.  We have set up a wait list just in case someone who is registered is unable to attend. You may also want to register early for our future Sound Bath Experiences scheduled for June 14\, July 15\, and/or August 9. Note that this program has sold out each time we have offered it… so if you are interested in experiencing our seated sound bath\, don’t wait to register. \nThe practice of sound bathing has gained popularity recently but is actually a healing practice that is thousands of years old with deep roots in cultures around the world. Jenny Ehrhardt has been facilitating sound offerings for several years\, incorporating her first love as an herbalist into all that she offers. Integrating sound using crystal chakra bowls\, bells\, song\, and rattles with plants and sweetness from the earth\, opens our hearts and nourishes the soul for the healing of the world. What a perfect combination for the Well community and all who seek soul nourishment and healing for self and others! \nWe are thrilled to welcome Jenny back to the Well for another session of healing\, renewal and nourishment. Jenny will offer a time of stillness\, sacred listening\, reflection\, and alignment with spirit that invites us to take care of ourselves as well as send love and peace out into the world through our vibrations\, prayers and the collective spiritual intention of a sacred community. \nYou will be seated for this session which will begin with a time of introduction and honoring of each participant\, inviting plant spirit connection to our intentions/prayers and sound healing meditation. Healing sound helps break up trauma in the body and assists in releasing whatever no longer serves us. This is so important in our culture and world today. At the end of the session\, Jenny will share seasonal herbal tea and a sweet offering to help integrate and embody the experience. \nWe are thrilled that Jenny found the Well (literally in her own neighborhood!) and is sharing her gifts of love and presence now as part of the Well community. We invite you to join Jenny and trust this ancient healing process of soul sound weaving for the renewal of your body\, mind and spirit and the nourishment of your soul. \nPlease don’t delay! Jenny’s Sound Soul Weaving sessions at the Well sell out every time! \nDATE: Sunday\, April 12\, 2026 \nTIME: 2:00 – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $50 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. I have seen so many beautiful effects this work has had on so many people\, including myself. I feel honored to be working with the bowls and other sounds to help connect us to something much deeper\, Ourselves. Working with all ages on many different levels\, I see the peace come over most people in a very surprising way. I have been called to create small\, intimate sound offerings right here in my hometown. I am grateful to have found Well for the Journey\, which has become such a sacred place for me. I work deeply with the plants as well and had a small shoppe in Hampden for over 10 years. I have been called to service and I love plants\, sound\, and people who are open to change and learning and being in a community without judgement. Pure Hearts\, I feel this at Well For the Journey and look forward to connecting more and sharing and learning through sound and the plants.

SUMMARY:Horizons Men's Group 2025-2026 (In-Person)
DESCRIPTION:Most men do not feel they can talk freely about their spiritual journey. At Well For The Journey\, we feel differently. The Horizons Men’s Group at the Well is a place where honest conversations take place about how we live out our spirituality uniquely as men in the world – within our daily living. \nGreg Cochran\, Executive Director at the Well\, has been facilitating Horizons for over ten years. Past discussions have explored a wide range of topics including the deconstruction and reconstruction of faith\, navigating the first and second halves of life\, spirituality and imperfection\, why do bad things happen to good people\, what is Truth\, and what can we learn from other faith traditions – just to name a few! \nThis season\, the wisdom of Parker Palmer will inform our conversation through two of his books: \nA Hidden Wholeness: The Journey Toward an Undivided Life – explores the concept of living an “undivided life”—where one’s inner truth aligns with their outer actions and roles. \nLet Your Life Speak: Listening for the Voice of Vocation – explores what it means to find one’s true calling by deeply listening to one’s inner self and aligning with one’s authentic nature\, emphasizing that vocation isn’t a specific job title\, but rather a way of living authentically and embracing our unique gifts and limitations. \nDue to high interest\, we are pleased to offer two monthly groups this year – both graciously led by Greg! The Tuesday evening group will meet in-person at the Well and the Thursday evening group will meet online via Zoom. \nIf you are looking for a community where difficult questions are welcomed and explored from the unique perspective of male spirituality\, we have a place for you in Horizons. \nThis registration is for the in-person session on Tuesday evenings. \nDATES: Tuesdays – 10/14\, 11/18\, 12/16/25\, and 1/20\, 2/17\, 3/17\, 4/21\, 5/19\, and 6/9/26 \nTIME: 7:00 – 8:30 PM \nCOST: $200 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. SUMMARY:The Gift of Deep Rest: An Hour of Yoga Nidra Meditation (Online Program)
DESCRIPTION:What comes to mind when you see the word “yoga?” Downward Dogs? Sun Salutations? Sitting on the floor with your legs in a pretzel? Well\, think again! \nYoga Nidra means “yogic sleep” and the only movement involved is whatever it takes for you to recline in a comfy chair or lie down on a bed\, sofa\, or mat on the floor. This is a guided mindfulness meditation practice that helps to relax the mind and body by simply listening to the teacher’s prompts and resting in stillness. One hour of yoga nidra is said to be as restorative as four hours of sleep. \nThe yoga wisdom teachers of the past knew the importance of rest and relaxation for health and wellbeing and passed this practice down through the ages to us. As the mind slows down\, the whirlwind of thoughts holding our attention begin to move away from us as we float in the space between waking and sleeping. As you disengage from stress-producing thoughts\, the body\, mind\, and spirit begin to rest and heal naturally. Modern research continues to affirm the benefits of Yoga Nidra\, showing significant reductions in anxiety\, stress\, and depression after guided mediation. Many participants report improved sleep\, a deep sense of calm\, and renewed energy. \nRather than driving to a yoga studio\, lying on the floor\, and driving back home again\, the Well invites you to rest comfortably in your own home (in your PJs with your camera off\, if you wish!). Suggestions for your comfort include: \n· A quiet place to lie down or recline\n· A pillow for your head and under your knees\n· A blanket and socks for warmth\n· If desired\, an eye mask or pillow to block light\n· A glass of water nearby \nThe Well is delighted to continue offering this deeply healing and restorative practice in collaboration with certified Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide\, Yoga Instructor\, and I Am Yoga Nidra Facilitator\, Jamila Keita. If you are new to meditation\, have never tried or been successful at meditation\, or are just curious about yoga without any yoga poses\, we encourage you to give Yoga Nidra a try. You will be amazed at how easily you will achieve a meditative state with Jamila’s gentle guidance and soothing voice. \nPlus – Never Miss A Session! Each Yoga Nidra session will be recorded. The sessions are being offered twice a month on a Monday and Tuesday evening. A link to the recording will be emailed to registered participants the following day and will be available for three (3) days. You can listen as often as you like until the link expires after 3 days. \nGive yourself (and maybe a loved one!) the gift of deep rest and relaxation. Your body\, mind\, and spirit will thank you! \nHear from Jamila in this video where she describes in great detail what Yoga Nidra is and its benefits for mind\, body\, and spirit! \n\n \n  \nDATES: Mondays – 3/9\, 4/6\, 5/4\, 6/8/26 and Tuesdays – 3/24\, 4/21\, 5/26\, 6/30/26 \nTIME: 7:30 – 8:30 PM ET \nCOST: $20 \nLOCATION: ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Jamila Keita \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nHi! My name is Evangeline “Jamila” Keita. I’ve been practicing yoga for almost 25 years and decided to teach yoga as my “retirement job.” It was during my yoga training (YT200) that I was introduced to Yoga Nidra. Immediately after completing YT200 in 2014\, I took my first Yoga Nidra training. Since that time\, I’ve taken subsequent trainings in Yoga Nidra in 2017 and 2021. I love this practice. \nDuring the shutdown\, I found “nature therapy.” This led me to complete a course through “The Kripalu School of Outdoor Leadership” and become a KMOG (Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide). \nI currently teach two yoga classes per week on Zoom. Each class includes poses and a short Yoga Nidra session. Since 2022\, I have provided weekly Yoga Nidra sessions for Hopewell Cancer Support Center and occasional Mindful Outdoor Experiences (MOEs). Additionally\, I work for Nature Worx\, a non-profit that provides MOEs to persons in recovery and the general public. \nI never imagined this second career as it is\, but it seems like a natural evolution to me. I hope you enjoy my offerings.

SUMMARY:Beloved Words: A Mosaic Workshop for Creative Renewal (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:JOY. HOPE. PEACE. LOVE. \nMore than ever\, such words are simple but powerful reminders of what’s most important\, beacons to guide our inner light when life is overwhelming. In the midst of troubling times\, an important aspect of self-care is the search for creative pursuits that fill us with joy and center us for our journeys. This workshop will explore the many ways that engaging in creative endeavors can nourish our spirits\, invigorate our minds\, calm anxiety\, and reduce stress — while we take joy in the process. \nThe pure magic of mosaic making will enable us to carve out sacred time with ourselves and others. We will create mosaic words—JOY\, HOPE\, PEACE\, OR LOVE— with an array of materials from my workshop in a myriad of colors and textures. We’ll choose from stained glass\, ceramic tiles\, bright baubles\, pebbles\, costume jewelry\, mirrors\, and much more. Whimsical sample fonts will be available for forming your chosen word. \nStorytelling and sharing of quotes will add a depth of camaraderie as we share strategies and favorite creative pursuits that nourish our souls and our work in the world. Participants are asked to bring a favorite quote or short poem related to one of our words (Joy\, Hope\, Peace\, Love) to share during our time together\, and at least one item to embed in your mosaic. This rich exploration will live on in the inspiration taken from our mosaic words each day. Creative endeavors can’t “fix” the world\, but they can rejuvenate us! They contribute to keeping us balanced\, healthy\, energized\, and ready to do our part toward bringing a more loving community into being. \nCommunity mosaic artist Cinder Hypki brings years of experience guiding groups in creative activities for celebration\, exploration and healing. She brings her mobile mosaic studio to the Well\, offering a sumptuous feast of materials for memorializing in mosaics. We are delighted to welcome Cinder back for her fifth mosaic offering at the Well. No prior experience with mosaics or any art form is required to participate. Cinder will guide every step of this joyful\, creative\, and life-giving process. \nTo learn more about Cinder and her amazing work\, please visit her at “Cinder Mosaic Studio” on Facebook. \nDATE: Sunday\, May 3\, 2026 \nTIME: 1:00 – 5:00 PM \nCOST: $100 + $25 Supply Fee \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W.
\nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program.

SUMMARY:FREE: Death Café at Well for the Journey (In-Person in Lutherville\, MD)
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wanted to talk about death but were afraid to bring up the subject with friends or family? At a Death Cafe people\, often strangers\, gather to eat cake\, drink tea and discuss death. \nWell for the Journey is pleased to sponsor a Death Café with Sam Stebbins\, certified end-of-life doula\, grief educator and coach\, interspiritual counselor\, retired family physician\, and experienced Death Café facilitator. \nA Death Cafe is a gathering where people discuss their feelings and thoughts about death and their experiences with death. Hot tea and sweet treats are included to remind us of comfort and sweetness even in difficult times. \nThe discussions that will unfold cover a wide range of topics related to death\, dying\, and grief based on what participants bring. Please be aware that it is not a grief support group. A Death Café is simply an opportunity to normalize conversations about death\, which is an essential part of every life\, and to increase awareness of death with a view to helping make the most of our time on this earth. \nThere are no expectations except to be supportive of each other and open to everyone’s individual interpretations\, ideas\, hopes\, fears\, and beliefs about this life and death situation we are all currently living in. As Marcus Aurelius said: “It is not death that man should fear\, but he should fear never beginning to live.”  \nPlease bring a spirit of curiosity and wonder to explore these topics in the comfort and intimacy of the Well. This gathering is FREE\, but space is limited. Please register early and let us know if your plans change so we can offer your seat to someone else. \nFor more information about Death Cafés\, please visit their website. \nDATE: Wednesday\, May 6\, 2026 \nTIME: 7:00 – 8:30 PM \nCOST: FREE \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W.
She enjoys designing engraved affirmation stones\, gardening\, and swimming. Often\, she can be found happily reading\, near or in a body of water\, or just sitting\, very still.

SUMMARY:Rest as Sacred Ground: Replenishing the Ones Who Hold Space (An In-Person Retreat Day for Spiritual Directors/Companions)
DESCRIPTION:Those who hold space for others often carry an unseen weight — offering steady presence\, deep listening\, and compassionate accompaniment day after day. This daylong retreat is an invitation for spiritual directors/companions\, therapists\, and all who offer the gift of sacred companioning to step out of holding and into being held — a day of renewal and replenishment in community and grounded presence. \nSustainable presence begins with embodied centeredness. This is the shared intention for our time together. Through a gentle rhythm of brief teaching\, embodied practices\, guided Yoga Nidra meditation\, vocal toning using our own voices to create healing vibrations for our bodies and spirits\, restorative sound bath\, journaling\, and small group conversation\, you will be offered space to restore your inner reserves and reconnect with sustainable presence. These practices offer accessible ways to soothe the nervous system and tend our souls. \nA community circle of shared reflection will create space to speak honestly about both the beauty and the energetic demands of this sacred work. Practical daily clearing practices will be introduced to support ongoing integration beyond the retreat. This experience is contemplative\, experiential\, and communal — designed to offer simple\, resonant tools while deepening rest\, clarity\, and grounded resilience for those who serve through presence. \nRest is not a luxury for those who hold space—it is the sacred ground from which it is offered. Come as you are. A simple lunch of soup and bread will be provided. \nDATE: Thursday\, May 14\, 2026 \nTIME: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $70.00 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W.
