SUMMARY:SOLD OUT: Rekindling the Flame: Awaken to the Divine Feminine with Brigid\, Goddess and Saint (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:This program has reached its seating capacity and no longer accepting new registrations.  You may join the wait list at the link below.\n \nTestimonials from Last Year’s Program: \n\n“This workshop was a powerful way to reconnect with Brigid\, the Celtic Fire Goddess of Creativity and Healing\, and with a community of Divine Feminine Lovers! I felt enlivened and more hopeful about this next chapter in my life.” -Elizabeth McCain\n \n“The program was excellent. I loved this first interaction with Well for the Journey. The community seemed welcoming and kind. I will return for another program. Kathleen was a dear soul. Thank you.” -Mary Perry\n \n\n“Workshop was wonderful. Facilitator was excellent and set the right tone and manage pace beautifully. I loved everything about it. Wonderful job. Great experience.” – A Participant\n \n“This event was so expansive and meaningful to me that if it was offered again the very next day\, I would be interested in attending. I know more focused time with Brigid like this would only take me to more wondrous places inside myself. Thank you deeply.” -Emily\n\n  \nWe are delighted to offer Kathleen Neville-Shinn’s celebration of the Celtic holiday of Imbolc (St. Brigid’s day) again this year! In this program\, Kathleen invites you to connect to the Sacred Feminine as part of your spiritual journey. Starting with the archetype of Brigid\, who is both an ancient Celtic Goddess and a Christian saint\, we will welcome the Divine as Feminine – however you understand Her – into our hearts and our lives for 2025! \nKathleen is committed to the resurrection of the Divine Feminine in today’s world\, especially among those with Christian ancestry. She welcomes people of all genders and all spiritual paths to this program\, where you will be invited to: \n· Explore the meaning of the Divine Feminine in your personal spiritual journey;\n· Invite in the “awakening” light of the Divine Feminine by connecting with Brigid (as the Celtic Goddess of fire and/or the Christian saint);\n· Tune in to your inner guidance to discern how the Divine Feminine wants to be part of your life in 2025;\n· Release energetic blockages through a group Reiki* energy healing\, so you can allow Her energy to flow in your mind\, body\, and spirit;\n· And share and connect with others who are walking a path of awakening to the Sacred Feminine. \nYour afternoon will include guided meditation\, journaling\, group sharing\, and a Holy Fire Reiki* energy healing to help integrate these experiences on an energetic level. \nThis program sells out every year. Please register early to join us to rekindle Brigid’s sacred flame in your heart and your life for 2025! \n*Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing that channels “ki\,” or life-force energy\, through the practitioner to the recipient(s). Reiki restores the natural flow of energy through the body-mind system in a gentle\, relaxing\, and refreshing way\, without physical touch between the practitioner and recipient. It can boost physical healing\, bring mental calm and focus\, and release energetic blockages to wellbeing. Many people find Reiki extremely relaxing and experience accelerated healing in mind\, body\, and spirit from receiving it! \nDATE: Saturday\, February 1\, 2025; Inclement Weather Date – Saturday 2/8/25 \nTIME: 1:00 – 5:00 PM \nCOST: $65 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is at capacity\, please join the waitlist here. \nCANCELLATION POLICY: Please read our cancellation policy\, here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from lorie@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. SUMMARY:Group Spiritual Direction 2024-2025 with Cathy Rosensteel (In-Person & Online)
DESCRIPTION:Group Spiritual Direction is a process in which people gather together on a regular basis to assist one another in an ongoing awareness of God (Spirit\, Source\, Creator\, whatever your name is) in all of life. Participants in the group are seeking support for their responsiveness to God and they agree to support others in that same responsiveness. This contemplative approach to spiritual direction is grounded in the model that originated at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Washington\, DC. . \nJoining the group is a deep commitment to one’s spiritual journey and to the other participants in the group. Three conditions are essential to the life of the group. Members must agree to: \n· Commit themselves to an honest relationship with God\, by whatever name called.\n· Participate wholeheartedly in the group process through consistent attendance and prayerful listening and response.\n· Open their spiritual journeys for consideration by others. \nThe group is limited to five participants and is facilitated by Cathy Rosensteel. The group will meet both in-person at the Well and on Zoom as noted below. \nCathy’s group has space for one new person this year. If you are feeling urged to give Group Spiritual Direction a try\, please call the Well at 410-296-9355. We will connect you with Cathy so that you can discuss your interest with her. \nDATES (In-Person at the Well): Saturdays – 9/28\, 10/12\, 11/9/24 and 3/8\, 4/12\, 5/10/25 \nDATES (Online via Zoom): Saturdays – 12/14/24 and 1/11\, 2/8/25 \nTIME: 8:30 – 11:00 AM \nCOST: $250 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 and ZOOM \nTO REGISTER:  Call the Well at 410-296-9355. We will connect you with Cathy so that you can discuss your interest with her to assure the group is a mutual fit. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from lorie@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. If you are unable to find the email\, please check your SPAM or JUNK email folders. She has an M.A. in Spiritual Direction and Pastoral Care from Loyola University Maryland. Kindled by a week-long silent Ignatian retreat\, she developed a deep appreciation for silence and the Spiritual Exercises. Furthering her interest\, she completed the 19th Annotation of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life. Her work in this area includes leading retreats on finding silence in everyday living and walking the labyrinth. Through private practice\, Cathy is honored to provide individual spiritual direction in the Middle River and Towson areas. \nCathy’s background includes teaching teacher education candidates and directing the Special Education programs at Loyola University Maryland. She also had a notable career developing innovative programs for students with special needs\, as a teacher and administrator with the Baltimore City Public School System. \nDrawn to the outdoors\, Cathy treasures time at home on Seneca Creek with her husband and dog. SUMMARY:SOLD OUT - Sound Soul Weaving: A Winter Pause (In-Person\, Seated Sound Bath)
DESCRIPTION:This program has reached seating capacity and is now closed to new registration.  We have set up a waitlist just incase someone is unable to attend.  You may add your name to the waitlist here. \nThe practice of sound bathing has gained popularity recently but is actually a healing practice that is thousands of years old with deep roots in cultures around the world. Well Facilitator\, Jenny Ehrhardt has been creating sound offerings for the past two years\, incorporating her first love as an herbalist into all that she offers. By integrating sound using crystal chakra bowls\, bells\, song\, and rattles along with the gifts of plants and sweetness from the earth\, Jenny strives to open hearts and help nourish souls for the healing of the world. What a perfect combination for the Well community and all who seek soul nourishment and healing for self and others! \nWe are thrilled to welcome Jenny back to the Well for another session of healing\, renewal and nourishment during the Winter season of rest. Jenny will offer a time of stillness\, sacred listening\, reflection\, and alignment with spirit that invites us to take care of ourselves as well as send love and peace out into the world through our vibrations\, prayers and the collective spiritual intention of a sacred community. \nYou will be seated for this session which will begin with a time of introduction and honoring of each participant\, inviting plant spirit connection to our intentions/prayers and sound healing meditation. Healing sound helps break up trauma in the body and assists in releasing whatever no longer serves us. This is so important in our culture and world today. At the end of the session\, Jenny will share seasonal herbal tea and a sweet offering to help integrate and embody the experience. \nPlease don’t delay! Jenny’s Sound Soul Weaving sessions at the Well sell out every time! \nDATE: Sunday\, February 16\, 2025 (Weather Date – Sunday\, 2/23/25) \nTIME: 1:30 – 3:30 PM \nCOST: $50 \nREGISTRATION is ow at capacity; you may add your name to the waitlist here. \nCANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY: Please read our cancellation / refund policy\, here. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Jenny Ehrhardt \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nOver the last two years I have been fortunate to work with two other women facilitating sound offerings on the Eastern Shore. I have seen so many beautiful effects this work has had on so many people\, including myself. I feel honored to be working with the bowls and other sounds to help connect us to something much deeper\, Ourselves. Working with all ages on many different levels\, I see the peace come over most people in a very surprising way. I have been called to create small\, intimate sound offerings right here in my hometown. I am grateful to have found Well for the Journey\, which has been such a sacred place for me this past year. I work deeply with the plants as well and had a small shoppe in Hampden for over 10 years. I have been called to service and I love plants\, sound\, and people who are open to change and learning and being in a community without judgement. Pure Hearts\, I feel this at Well For the Journey and look forward to connecting more and sharing and learning through sound and the plants.

SUMMARY:Horizons Men's Group - 2024-2025 (In-Person Program with Online Option)
DESCRIPTION:Most men do not feel they can talk freely about their spiritual journey. At the Well\, we feel differently. The Well’s Horizons Men’s Group is a place where honest conversations take place about how we live out our spirituality uniquely as men in the world – within our daily living. Past discussions have included the deconstruction and reconstruction of faith\, the first and second halves of life\, spirituality and imperfection\, why do bad things happen to good people\, and what can we learn from other faith traditions – just to name a few! \nThis season we will use Richard Rohr’s book\, Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life\, to help us enter a time of deeper conversations and a growing community. \nIf you are looking for a community where hard questions are welcomed and explored\, we have a place for you. Horizons meets on the third Tuesday of each month (October – June)\, from 7pm – 8:30pm. We will meet in-person with the option to “zoom in” for those who may not live close by or for those for whom “zooming” is more comfortable. Come check us out!\n\nDATE: Tuesdays – 10/15\, 11/19\, 12/17/24\, and 1/21\, 2/18\, 3/18\, 4/15\, 5/20\, and 6/17/25 \nTIME: 7:00 – 8:30 PM ET \nCOST: $195 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 and ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nCANCELLATION POLICY: Please read our cancellation policy\, here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from lorie@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. SUMMARY:SOLD OUT: Breathwork Across Spiritual Traditions and the Practice of Introspective Breathwork™ (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:This program has reached its capacity and is now sold out.  We have created a wait list should a current registrant be unable to attend. You may add your name to this wait list here. (Be sure you include an up to date email and phone number so we may contact you if a spot opens.) \nIntrospective Breathwork™\, a form of conscious connected breathwork\, is a therapeutic modality which invites us into deeper relationship with ourselves and our breath. In this session\, Certified Introspective Breathwork™ Facilitator\, Amy Kulesa\, will begin by sharing about approaches to mindful breathing which have been employed by spiritual traditions for millennia around the world. We will explore how these traditions are now supported by scientific research on the beneficial use of deep breathing for regulation of the nervous system and healing trauma. Breath is a bridge between matter and consciousness\, and its intentional\, mindful practice can ease stress and heal nervous system dysregulation and bring us to a greater degree of integrated peace\, embodied presence and self-insight. \nConscious connected breathwork is sometimes called “circular breathing.” This involves deep\, diaphragmatic inhalations followed by natural\, unforced exhalation\, without a pause at the top and bottom of the breath. During the session\, we will breathe this way for an hour\, lying down on a mat or cushion\, to the accompaniment of ambient music. When breathing in this way\, a person is in conscious control at all times of their own experience and can slow down or quicken the breath at any time\, pause to get a drink or use the restroom. The Breathworker\, Amy\, supports the breathers by compassionate and soulful presence: encouraging\, when appropriate\, through verbal prompts or gentle touch (only by prior permission) and holding space before\, during and after the breath session\, allowing each participant adequate time to process their experience. \nThe breath’s integrative benefits are felt as we come into contact through deep presence to ourselves with an embodied experience of our emotions\, memories\, physical tensions and spiritual dimensions. This can allow us to behold ourselves in an expanded way within an enlarged\, more cosmic field of love and unitive consciousness. Conscious connected breathwork can gently support us in healing from stress\, the everyday tensions of our lives and deeper-seated unresolved effects from trauma. The environment for an Introspective Breathwork session is a nurturing\, safe space for self-exploration and coming into a deepened experience of transcendent Love. Each session and each person’s experience is unique\, as the breath facilitates movement of emotional energy up and through into consciousness and release\, and supports inner unity of body\, mind and spirit. \nPLEASE NOTE: This program is being held in the Upper Room at the Well. Participants will need to walk up the stairs to the 3rd Floor. The length of the program will be 2.5 to 3 hours depending upon participant sharing. Additionally\, participants will be required to sign a release form after registration and return it to Amy for review. \nPlease register early! Registration is limited to 8 people so that Amy can give personal attention to each participant.\n\nDATE: Saturday\, February 22\, 2025 \nTIME: 10 AM – 1:00 PM \nCOST: $55 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W.
SUMMARY:Intuition: Living Into Your Soul’s Knowing (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:“Intuition is the song of my soul.” – Lori Lipten\, Intuitive Practitioner & Author \nWe are born as highly intuitive beings. Our first language is intuition\, it is the language of our soul\, and it is always communicating with us. Our intuition often feels like it’s in the background because we are usually operating from our ego mind-beliefs\, fears\, trauma\, habits\, and overstimulation. \nEveryone is intuitive and intuition is a normal way to communicate. It is implicit in all religions\, philosophies\, and worldviews. It’s as natural as breathing. Unfortunately\, we also live in a culture that favors logic/evidence over intuition. As children\, we are not taught to value our intuition and as a result\, we may have discounted our own feelings or hunches\, suppressing development of intuition. \nIntuition is the ‘song of our souls’ and is often referred to as the ‘voice of God.’ Love is the soul’s frequency. We can learn to tune back into our intuition and to be a compassionate witness to this world through a heart-centered lens by elevating our vibrations to match our soul.\, We do this through attunement practices such as meditation\, prayer\, breathwork\, and other contemplative practices. \nJoin Certified Intuitive Practitioner\, Maggie Lears\, for this intriguing session where we will discuss attunement practices for strengthening our intuition and will also learn about the clairs\, e.g.\, clairvoyance and how they relate to intuition. We will engage in large group discussion\, small group conversations\, a short meditation\, and exercises to ascertain ways that we naturally access intuitive messages. We will begin to develop our intuition so that we become more in tune with our soul’s purpose and begin to live intuitively on a daily basis. \nDATE: Thursday\, March 13\, 2025 \nTIME: 6:30 – 8:30 PM \nCOST: $40 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nCANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY: Please read our cancellation / refund policy\, here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program.
SUMMARY:Discovering the Spiritual Wisdom of Trees: Connection & Collaboration - A Day Retreat at the Well (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:“Humanity cannot be separated from other beings; there is no ‘other.’ In the sacred kindom\, everything belongs…. An awesome\, sacred responsibility has been entrusted to us. Our work is to reestablish our soul connections to Earth so that kinship may flourish into the future.”\n-Leah Rampy\, Earth & Soul: Reconnecting amid Climate Chaos \nWe live in uncertain times when ecosystems are increasingly at risk. Our souls hunger for sacred relationship with all creation\, yet it can be difficult to discern the way forward when relationships to human and nonhuman kin seem fraught. Guidance is close at hand that can point the way to healing and wholeness for our days and the times beyond. Join sought after retreat leader and wisdom teacher\, Leah Rampy\, for this day-long retreat at the Well where we’ll look to the ancient spiritual and ecological wisdom that trees have to offer. These elders who have graced Earth far longer than the human family demonstrate living in community and collaborating for mutual benefit. They invite us to open more fully to the awe and wonder of this world\, allowing our awareness of sacred oneness to deepen. \nThrough brief teachings\, ongoing conversation and reflection\, small group discussion\, and spacious contemplative practices\, we’ll open our hearts to the wonder and resilience of the tree teachers all around us. You will leave with practices that you may choose to continue to further deepen connections with and learn from the spiritual wisdom of trees in your community. \nPlease bring a bag lunch. Coffee\, tea\, and light snacks will be provided. \nDATE: Saturday\, March 22\, 2025 \nTIME: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $65. \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nCANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:  Please read our policy\, here. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. SUMMARY:SOLD OUT: The Body Holds\, The Body Heals: Restoring Balance\, Releasing Stress\, Creating Calming Practices (half-day\, in-person retreat)
DESCRIPTION:This program has reached its capacity and is now sold out.  We have created a wait list just in case someone who is registered is unable to attend. You may add your name to the wait list here. \n\nAre you going through your day feeling overly sensitive\, too reactive\, or easily triggered? Or do you feel numb most days\, simply going through the motions? By the time we are adults\, most of us are walking warriors\, holding stress and trauma in our bodies as we’ve had to survive and simply soldier on. In the short run\, our bodies may be able to do this\, holding it together to get through. However\, over time\, we cannot keep up this pace. Our bodies become overwhelmed as they hold our stressed experiences. They develop pain\, fatigue\, injury\, or disease\, as they can no longer repress all they have held over time. \nJoin certified Somatic Experience Practitioner\, Emily Kearns\, for this half-day retreat to give your body a break and invite it to begin to rest and heal. The Body Holds\, The Body Heals program provides a safe container for participants to begin to: \n1. identify how our bodies hold whatever overwhelms such as grief\, trauma\, and stress;\n2. relate to our bodies as a resource for calming\, metabolizing\, and integrating what has been held; and\n3. respond differently to past and current stress through somatic (body-focused) practices and rituals. \nThrough guided meditation\, sitting or walking in nature\, art journaling including collage\, and group sharing\, you will grow your self-care toolbox to begin to experience your body as a resource — reducing stress and generating relaxation in body\, mind\, and spirit. \nPlease bring a journal for your reflections. We will be exploring different ways of checking in with and resting our bodies. All of the activities can occur seated\, but if you want the option to lie down or sit on the floor\, please bring a yoga mat\, pillow\, and blanket. \nPlease join us for this healing and restorative mini-retreat! \nDATE: Saturday\, March 29\, 2025 \nTIME: 1:00 – 5:00 PM \nCOST: $55 \nREGISTRATION is closed as the program has sold out; you may add your name to the waitlist here. \nCANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY: Please read our cancellation / refund policy\, here. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. SUMMARY:Honoring the Gifts of Spring: A Sacred Circle Dance Gathering for Women (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome back Lisa Bardack\, Sacred Circle Dance Facilitator\, for another sacred circle dance gathering at the Well! \nSacred circle dance is a collective dance experience that draws from ancient and traditional folk dances\, many from Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Dancing to wonderful music and rhythms\, we join the circle of grandmothers who initiated these dances and passed them on. Dancing in their footsteps\, we experience a sense of something greater than ourselves\, a continuum of which we are a sacred part. Born from the Earth\, these dances connect us to the rhythms of the seasons and the cycles of life\, evoking a powerful sense of community and interconnection with each other and all life. \nIn this circle dance gathering\, we will honor the season of spring. We are a sacred part of spring\, witnesses to her unfolding beauty and to our own unfolding. There is the promise of renewal and growth in spring\, a time to bring to fruition the seeds and visions we have been quietly cultivating in the winter months. We will move through dances that help us cultivate our creativity and sense of purpose\, and dances that will help to ground us in these turbulent times. We will dance\, as well\, to honor the transition from winter to spring\, the dance between stillness\, restlessness and action. Rooting into the ground as we rise up\, we will dance to cultivate the mindfulness needed to move forward into spring with greater peace\, clarity and joy. \nNo dance experience is required (just basic mobility and coordination)\, as the dances are simple to moderately easy\, and the step sequences repetitive. Lisa will gently guide us in the dance steps and share meaningful information on the origins of each dance. You can dance in bare feet\, socks\, or soft soled shoes. \nIf you love to dance\, or perhaps love the idea of sacred dance and are curious to learn more\, come and enjoy a beautiful afternoon of movement meditation in the safe and nurturing environment that is the Well! Registration is limited to 8 participants\, so please don’t delay! \nTo learn more about sacred circle dance and Lisa\, please visit Lisa’s website at https://www.evokethesacred.com/. \nDATE: Saturday\, April 5\, 2025 \nTIME: 2:00 – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $40 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nCANCELLATION POLICY: Please read our cancellation / refund policy\, here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. If you are unable to find the email\, please check your SPAM or JUNK email folders. This email will include details to help you prepare for your program including any pertinent handouts\, location information\, and the ZOOM link for online programs. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Lisa Bardack \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nLisa Bardack\, Sacred Circle Dance facilitator\, has been dancing most of her life\, feeling a deep sense of authenticity with this art form. It was in 1997 that she first experienced Sacred Circle Dance and fell in love with this collective experience of dancing ancient and traditional steps to wonderful music from around the world. She has studied Sacred Circle Dance for over 15 years through classes and conferences nationally and internationally and has been teaching since 2008. In addition to her background in dance\, Lisa has also studied yoga\, tai chi\, qigong\, NIA\, and other forms of dance\, cultivating a seasoned understanding of body movement as an instrument for joy\, healing\, and wisdom.

SUMMARY:SOLD OUT - Worship in the Wild at Cromwell Valley Park (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:We are now at capacity for this program and are no longer able to accept additional registrations. \nDuring Covid\, many of us experienced communal worship in new ways\, mostly through on-line alternatives and outdoors. We grew accustomed to experiencing worship that wasn’t attached to a particular sacred building or in-person with others not in our household. Our experience of worship expanded and with it our freedom to recognize the sacred in many worship spaces. \nPlease join us this Spring for “Worship in the Wild” at beautiful Cromwell Valley Park. Our leaders for this alternative worship experience\, Scott Slater and Greg Cochran\, have long and rich histories in traditional pulpits and in the great outdoors! \nScott and Greg will once again combine their passion for nature with their experience of worship to gently move us along a trail where the “worship space” changes and encourages our sense of spirituality in nature. Inclusive and expansive language will be intentionally used that invites participants to think more broadly about how we understand terms such as God or Spirit. The order of service will be loosely structured and based on historic Christian Sunday worship patterns\, but with broader\, more inclusive\, and non-Christian specific language. Inspirational readings will come from a variety of sacred spiritual traditions. \nWe will gather at the Willow Grove Nature Center (east entrance of Cromwell Valley Park). The ability to walk for a mile and stand for ten minutes at a time along the trail is required. Please dress comfortably and wear good walking shoes. This offering is free\, but please register for planning purposes and so that we can notify you if worship is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Thank you! \nDATE: Sunday\, April 6\, 2025 \nTIME: 1:00 – 2:00PM \nCOST: FREE & RSVP requested \nLOCATION: Cromwell Valley Park\, 2002 Cromwell Bridge Rd\, Parkville\, MD 21234 \nRSVPs are full and unable to accept additional sign ups. Thank you! \nFACILITATORS: Scott Slater and Greg Cochran \nFACILITATOR BIOS: \nScott Slater:\nScott is a retired Episcopal priest and founding member of Well For the Journey. An avid outdoor enthusiast\, he spent most Sunday mornings during Covid out walking his dog and listening to church services online as he walked. He recently experienced a worship service at an ecumenical monastery that emphasized inclusive and expansive language that inspired him to offer this worship alternative through the Well. \nScott lives in Towson with his spouse but is often traveling throughout the country in his motorhome and going on amazing walks and hikes in many different inspiring settings. \nGreg Cochran:\nGreg has been the Executive Director at Well for the Journey since 2010. He is a graduate of Clemson University and Southern Seminary. Greg was Associate Pastor at Woodbrook Baptist Church serving from 1988-2022. He also is a program/retreat facilitator and a spiritual companion. He completed the Shalem Institute’s Spiritual Guidance Program (SGP) in 2009 and is currently a SGP staff member. He is also a mentor for Paseo’s “The Stewards of Mystery” Spiritual Guidance Program in Cottonwood\, Idaho. \nGreg and his wife\, Carole\, live in Baltimore. They have two children (26 and 24).
SUMMARY:SOLD OUT: Sound Soul Weaving: Bridging\, Reflecting\, Discerning\, and Connecting with Self\, Spirit & Community (In-Person\, Seated Sound Bath)
DESCRIPTION:We are now at capacity for this this program and are unable to accept new registrations.  If you’d like to put your name on our wait list just in case someone is unable to attend\, you can do that here. \nThe practice of sound bathing has gained popularity recently but is actually a healing practice that is thousands of years old with deep roots in cultures around the world. Jenny Ehrhardt has been facilitating sound offerings for several years\, incorporating her first love as an herbalist into all that she offers. Integrating sound using crystal chakra bowls\, bells\, song\, and rattles with plants and sweetness from the earth\, opens our hearts and nourishes the soul for the healing of the world. What a perfect combination for the Well community and all who seek soul nourishment and healing for self and others! \nWe are thrilled to welcome Jenny back to the Well for another session of healing\, renewal and nourishment during the Spring season of renewal. \nWe are thrilled that Jenny found the Well (literally in her own neighborhood!) and is sharing her gifts of love and presence now as part of the Well community. We invite you to join Jenny and trust this ancient healing process of soul sound weaving for the renewal of your body\, mind and spirit and the nourishment of your soul. \nPlease don’t delay! Jenny’s Sound Soul Weaving sessions at the Well sell out every time! \nDATE: Sunday\, April 13\, 2025 \nTIME: 2:00 – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $50 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W.

SUMMARY:Where Water Meets Sky: A Mosaic Workshop for Rejuvenating Spirit with the Ocean’s Treasures (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:“I LOVED this program! Had such a nice day! I would not change a thing!!! THANK YOU for the best day!” – Kathy Finney \n“I will probably be the first to sign up if this is offered again . I had joy and peace in self and beach combing community the whole time . Cinder is an amazing facilitator & person . Please offer this at least once a year \, but hopefully more than that!” – Sharon Bateman \n \nThe metaphor of powerful waves wearing down the sharp edges of objects in the surf’s tumble is apt for these days and times. The “waves of overwhelm” can be exhausting and diminishing in our lives. Creativity allows the soul to open\, to sing again\, to restore and rejuvenate. It is a process of inviting joy into our lives. \nWith the simplest and most humble of materials – beach combed sea glass\, stones\, and shells – this workshop seeks to awaken our creative juices and enliven our imaginations with time to play\, breathe\, ponder\, create. \nLike a walk on the beach\, the mosaic medium provides a calm\, purposeful path into the soul. It allows us to sink into flow\, moving bit by bit and piece by piece toward focus. We will create mosaic pieces that can serve as talismans for the journey ahead\, each one a prayer for our path forward. Writing and group work will enrich our explorations\, and a “gallery walk” to share our finished pieces and the journeys that inspired them – will cap off the experience. \nWe are delighted to welcome back Baltimore artist\, Cinder Hypki\, for her fourth mosaic offering at the Well! Cinder brings years of experience guiding groups in creative activities for celebration\, exploration and healing. No prior experience with mosaics or any art form is required to participate. Cinder brings her mobile mosaic studio to the Well and guides every step of this fun\, creative\, and life-giving process. You have the option to bring your own beach combed treasures or work with a beautiful assortment of Cinder’s pottery shards\, sea glass\, and shells. \nTo learn more about Cinder and her amazing work\, please visit her website – http://www.cinderart.com \n       \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \n \nDATE: Saturday\, May 3\, 2025 \nTIME: 1:00 – 5:00 PM \nCOST: $100 + $25 Supply Fee  \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. Thank you! \nCANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: Please read our cancellation / refund policy\, here. \nFACILITATOR: Cinder Hypki \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nCinder Hypki is an artist\, educator and writer living in Upper Fells Point\, Baltimore. She maintains a vibrant mosaic studio for her workshops\, commissions\, fine art work\, and as a staging ground for collaborative art projects. \nCinder uses creative expression for community building\, celebration and healing. She brings groups and communities together around similar experiences\, pride of place\, and across lines of race and class\, to find common ground. \nExamples of Cinder’s projects include mandala workshops with cancer patients\, nurses and chaplains at Johns Hopkins’ Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center\, and creation of an interactive sculpture for its annual Service of Remembrance. Cinder designed mosaic workshops for five Enoch Pratt Library branches during a CeaseFire week. Her storytelling circles aid Baltimore nonprofits to strengthen teamwork on deeper levels. She designed How Are We Healing?\, a participatory community installation for The NOVA Institute\, to accompany Devin Allen’s powerful photographic exhibition of Baltimore’s uprising in the aftermath of Freddie Gray’s death. Cinder also works with individuals to commemorate loved ones through mosaics and other forms of expression. \nFor over a decade\, Cinder taught and mentored students at MICA in their community residencies – undergraduates and graduate students in MICA’s MFA in Community Arts program. Today\, she continues to coach and encourage fellow creatives. \nCinder is a writer and poet\, and the developmental editor of the newly published book Healing and Medicine: A Doctor’s Journey Towards Their Integration by Paul Dieppe.
SUMMARY:Sound Soul Weaving: A Seated Sound Bath Experience (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:“This was an amazing meditation and one I would do again with Jenny. She creates a sacred space\, is welcoming and gracious. It was exactly what I needed today.” – Donna Mollenkopf \n“I had never experienced sound bathing in my life. It was an incredibly relaxing\, soul nurturing\, meditative and mindful practice. It was a self-giving gift of mind massage I gave to myself and highly needed in the turbulent times we live in. I loved it all. Best program I ever went to at the well.” – Maria Pane \n“This was my first experience with soul sounds coming from multiple sources. Jen combined them with the glass bowls perfectly. The length of time was perfect to allow us to let go and sink deeply into the vibrations of each instrument. I left feeling that my body and soul had been completely nourished.” – Judy Wright \n“Have it monthly. :)” – Diana Fusting \n“I loved every minute!” – Sandi Schultz \nThe practice of sound bathing has gained popularity recently but is actually a healing practice that is thousands of years old with deep roots in cultures around the world. \nWe are thrilled to welcome Jenny back to the Well for another session of healing\, renewal and nourishment. \nDATE: Sunday\, June 29\, 2025 \nTIME: 2:00 – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $50 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W.

SUMMARY:Meditative Movement as a Path for Holy Listening (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:“This is definitely one of the best programs I’ve taken part in. Beth was well-prepared\, knew her subject and communicated extremely well. She was welcoming and allowed plenty of time for us to get to know one another. We experienced the perfect combination of facilitator\, topic and participants. It was a deeply meaningful afternoon for me and\, by all accounts\, for everyone present. Please encourage Beth to facilitate more programs!”- Kathy Shaw \n“A gentle day of heart-filled presence. Nothing needed to be changed or improved.” – A 2024 Participant \nWe are excited to welcome back Spiritual Companion and Retreat Facilitator\, Beth Wood-Roig\, for another session of Meditative Movement as a Path for Holy Listening. \nSpiritual traditions throughout the ages have understood that our bodies are truly wonderful sources for deep and holy listening. When we are tuned into and listening deeply to our physical bodies\, we connect with our holy source\, however that is defined for each of us. But in these chaotic and stressful times\, it is sometimes easy to miss\, forget or even ignore the messages our bodies are sending that signal something is out of balance. Learning to listen again and how to respond to these messages are important skills for all of us to practice. During our day together\, we will explore various forms of movement\, sometimes meditative\, sometimes silly\, hopefully fun\, and ever surprising\, to help us hone our listening and responding skills with our bodies. \nThere will also be time and space for personal contemplation and practice\, as well as group reflection and sharing. Weather permitting\, we may spend some time outside at the beautiful Well property so please dress appropriately. \nNo prior experience is needed\, just basic mobility. All movements can be modified for any fitness level. Please bring your own bag lunch. Please don’t hesitate! This program is limited to 10 participants. \nDATE: Saturday\, July 19\, 2025 \nTIME: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM \nCOST: $60 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nCANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:  Please read our cancellation / refund policy here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from programming@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Beth Wood-Roig \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nBeth’s background includes many years leading contemplative retreats\, small group facilitation and spiritual companioning. She believes that we each experience the Divine in our own unique way. Her sense of the One is that of loving Presence\, holding us gently through all of life\, the joys\, surprises\, sorrows\, uncertainties\, worries\, fears\, and assurances. Her faith background is Unitarian Universalist\, with Christian and Buddhist leanings\, and she often finds spiritual grounding in body prayer and nature. Beth has completed certificates in Contemplative Leadership and in Spiritual Direction for Spiritual Guides\, both from Oasis Ministries for Spiritual Development\, based in Camp Hill\, PA. She enjoys gardening\, hiking\, reading\, body prayer and dance\, and spending time with her family and two kitties.
