SUMMARY:Writing to Heal (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:Lindsey Pope is the author of five books\, a speaker and workshop leader\, and a busy mom who is passionate about sharing love\, laughter\, and healing through writing. She developed Writing to Heal based on her own experience coming out of a mental health crisis battling severe anxiety and depression. Lindsey used this method of writing in her own healing and found it so helpful and transformative that she felt called to share it with others. \nIn this interactive program\, Lindsey invites participants to use writing as a method for healing. Research has shown that journaling positively affects people’s mental health by lowering anxiety\, stopping rumination cycles\, and increasing self-awareness (source: www.webmd.com/mental-health/mental-health-benefits-of-journaling ). While writing is a free activity that can be done at any time and any place\, some people need a little help getting started. \nLindsey provides engaging exercises and writing prompts to help people get started in a way that’s comfortable for them\, while also encouraging participants to open up in an emotionally safe environment. Participants will engage in a variety of individual and group exercises and also learn strategies to continue this practice on their own time. No prior writing or journaling experience is needed for this evening of self-care\, laughter\, and healing through writing. \n\n  \nDATE: Wednesday\, September 11\, 2024 \nTIME: 6:00 – 8:00 PM \nCOST: $35 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nCANCELLATION POLICY: Please read our cancellation policy\, here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from lorie@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. If you are unable to find the email\, please check your SPAM or JUNK email folders. This email will include details to help you prepare for your program including any pertinent handouts\, location information\, and the ZOOM link for online programs. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Lindsey Pope \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nLindsey Pope is passionate about sharing laughter and love through writing. Her first book\, Found in Faith\, debuted in 2018 as a fundraiser for the Fresh Start Furnishings program in Aberdeen\, MD. Her next book\, Wisdom from the Womb\, came out in 2019. Lindsey debuted her first children’s picture book\, Sheldon’s Time\, in August 2022 which was followed by Stella’s Dream in Spring 2023. In August 2023\, her third picture book was published which is called The ABCs of HdG: Fun and Facts in Havre de Grace\, MD. SUMMARY:Honoring Late Summer\, Preparing for Fall: A Sacred Circle Dance Gathering for Women (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome back Lisa Bardack\, Sacred Circle Dance Facilitator\, for another sacred circle dance gathering at the Well! \nSacred circle dance is a collective dance experience that draws from ancient and traditional folk dances\, many from Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Dancing to wonderful music and rhythms\, we join the circle of grandmothers who initiated these dances and passed them on. Dancing in their footsteps\, we experience a sense of something greater than ourselves\, a continuum of which we are a sacred part. The dances evoke joy\, peace\, insight\, healing and a powerful sense of community and interconnection with each other and all life. \nBorn from the Earth\, these dances connect us to the rhythms of the seasons and the cycles of life. Moving as one to encoded energy patterns\, we learn about our basic relationships of being in our bodies\, being on Earth\, being in community and being present to the source of all life. \nIn Traditional Chinese Medicine\, Earth is the element associated with the season of late summer. As we move from the more yang/outward energy of summer toward the more yin/inward energy of fall\, the Earth provides us with the nourishment and grounding we need to help with this seasonal transition. In this circle dance gathering\, we will dance to honor Earth’s abundance\, generosity\, and support. As the fall equinox nears\, we’ll explore the dance between being and doing in an often busy season and acknowledge the need to let go of that which no longer serves us to create space for the new. \nNo dance experience is required (just basic mobility and coordination)\, as the dances are simple to moderately easy\, and the step sequences repetitive. Lisa will gently guide us in the dance steps and share meaningful information on the origins of each dance. You can dance in bare feet\, socks\, or soft soled shoes. \nIf you love to dance\, or perhaps love the idea of sacred dance and are curious to learn more\, come and enjoy a beautiful afternoon of movement meditation in the safe and nurturing environment that is the Well! Registration is limited to 8 participants\, so please don’t delay! \nDATE: Saturday\, September 14\, 2024 \nTIME: 2:00 – 4:00 PM \nCOST: $45 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Lisa Bardack \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nLisa Bardack\, Sacred Circle Dance facilitator\, has been dancing most of her life\, feeling a deep sense of authenticity with this art form. It was in 1997 that she first experienced Sacred Circle Dance and fell in love with this collective experience of dancing ancient and traditional steps to wonderful music from around the world. She has studied Sacred Circle Dance for over 15 years through classes and conferences nationally and internationally and has been teaching since 2008. In addition to her background in dance\, Lisa has also studied yoga\, tai chi\, qigong\, NIA\, and other forms of dance\, cultivating a seasoned understanding of body movement as an instrument for joy\, healing\, and wisdom.

SUMMARY:Welcoming Fall - A Mindful Outdoor Experience (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:In our society\, we spend a lot of time inside and in front of a screen. Chances are good you are reading about this program on a screen within four walls right now. Yet we are part of creation\, and our bodies and spirits instinctively crave a connection with the great outdoors. Spending time in nature promotes an increased sense of relaxation and supports the body’s capacity for overall wellness and healing. \nWe are pleased to welcome back certified Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide and Yoga Instructor\, Jamila Keita\, for a Mindful Outdoor Experience (MOE) at the Well as we connect to the season of Fall. This MOE invites participants to rediscover the joy in nature by engaging in practices that awaken the senses such as meditation\, mindful walking (sauntering)\, gentle stretching\, and forest bathing. Studies have found that a “regular dose of nature therapy” improves sleep\, reduces symptoms of depression\, combats stress\, increases vigor\, and boosts our immune systems. \nThe program is designed to give you an outdoor experience without having to go into a remote location. It is based on a nine-step practice developed by the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership (KSMOL). Jamila is thrilled to bring her love for nature and walking\, and her experience and joy guiding MOE’s throughout the Baltimore metro area\, to the Well’s backyard woods. \nNo prior experience is needed. Participants must have moderate mobility and be capable of walking on a wooded path. \nDATE: Friday\, September 20\, 2024 \nTIME: 11:30AM – 1:30PM \nCOST: $30 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Jamila Keita \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nHi! My name is Evangeline “Jamila” Keita. I’ve been practicing yoga for almost 25 years and decided to teach yoga as my “retirement job.” It was during my yoga training (YT200) that I was introduced to Yoga Nidra. Immediately after completing YT200 in 2014\, I took my first Yoga Nidra training. Since that time\, I’ve taken subsequent trainings in Yoga Nidra in 2017 and 2021. I love this practice. \nDuring the shutdown\, I found “nature therapy.” This led me to complete a course through “The Kripalu School of Outdoor Leadership” and become a KMOG (Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide). \nI currently work for Nature Worx\, a non-profit that provides mindful outdoor experiences and nature therapy to persons in recovery and the general public. I also teach two yoga classes per week on Zoom. Each class includes poses and a short Yoga Nidra session. Since 2022\, I have provided weekly Yoga Nidra sessions for Hopewell Cancer Support Center and occasional Mindful Outdoor Experiences (MOEs). Additionally\, I work for Nature Worx\, a non-profit that provides MOEs to persons in recovery and the general public.

SUMMARY:Falling Upward: A Retreat Embodying the Wisdom of Richard Rohr & Brene Brown (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:Richard Rohr’s best-selling book “Falling Upward: Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life” has been rereleased on its 10th anniversary with a forward by Brene Brown. Join us for an enriching journey designed for enthusiasts of Rohr and Brown\, or those simply curious about their teachings. Enrich your reading of Rohr’s “Falling Upward” by delving into the power of vulnerability-a lifelong endeavor of self-discovery and authenticity. Rohr’s use of poet Gerard Hopkins’ poignant quote\, “What I do is for me: for that I came\,” encapsulates the True Self that Rohr believes resides in all our hearts and is where we find our deepest offerings to share in the world. \nFor those ready to embark on this transformative path\, Brene Brown’s compassionate tools offer a brave exploration of our narratives\, empowering us to embrace a both/and approach to spirituality and faith traditions. SUMMARY:Free: Worship in the Wild (In-Person Program - Oregon Ridge)
DESCRIPTION:During Covid\, many of us experienced communal worship in new ways\, mostly through on-line alternatives and outdoors. We grew accustomed to experiencing worship that wasn’t attached to a particular sacred building or in-person with others not in our household. Our experience of worship expanded and with it our freedom to recognize the sacred in many worship spaces. \nPlease join us this Fall for “Worship in the Wild” at beautiful Oregon Ridge Park in Hunt Valley. Our leaders for this alternative worship experience\, Scott Slater and Greg Cochran\, have long and rich histories in traditional pulpits and in the great outdoors! \nScott and Greg will combine their passion for nature with their experience of worship to gently move us along a trail where the “worship space” changes and encourages our sense of spirituality in nature. Inclusive and expansive language will be intentionally used that invites participants to think more broadly about how we understand terms such as God or Spirit. The order of service will be loosely structured and based on historic Christian Sunday worship patterns\, but with broader\, more inclusive\, and non-Christian specific language. Inspirational readings will come from a variety of sacred spiritual traditions. \nWe will gather at the Oregon Ridge Nature Center. The ability to walk for a mile and stand for ten minutes at a time along the trail is required. Please dress comfortably and wear good walking shoes. This offering is free\, but please register for planning purposes and so that we can notify you if worship is cancelled due to weather or unforeseen circumstance. Thank you! \nDATE: Sunday\, September 22\, 2024 \nTIME: 3:00 – 4:00PM \nCOST: FREE \nLOCATION: Oregon Ridge Nature Center\, 13555 Beaver Dam Road\, Cockeysville\, MD 21030 \nRSVP is required; please RSVP HERE: \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from lorie@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. Please be sure you have received and read this email a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the start of the program. Thank you! \nFACILITATORS: Scott Slater and Greg Cochran \nFACILITATOR BIOS: \nScott Slater:\nScott is a retired Episcopal priest and founding member of Well For the Journey. An avid outdoor enthusiast\, he spent most Sunday mornings during Covid out walking his dog and listening to church services online as he walked. He recently experienced a worship service at an ecumenical monastery that emphasized inclusive and expansive language that inspired him to offer this worship alternative through the Well. \nScott lives in Towson with his spouse but is often traveling throughout the country in his motorhome and going on amazing walks and hikes in many different inspiring settings. \nGreg Cochran:\nGreg has been the Executive Director at Well for the Journey since 2010. He is a graduate of Clemson University and Southern Seminary. Greg was Associate Pastor at Woodbrook Baptist Church serving from 1988-2022. SUMMARY:Group Spiritual Direction 2024-2025 with Cathy Rosensteel (In-Person & Online)
DESCRIPTION:Group Spiritual Direction is a process in which people gather together on a regular basis to assist one another in an ongoing awareness of God (Spirit\, Source\, Creator\, whatever your name is) in all of life. Participants in the group are seeking support for their responsiveness to God and they agree to support others in that same responsiveness. This contemplative approach to spiritual direction is grounded in the model that originated at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Washington\, DC. . \nJoining the group is a deep commitment to one’s spiritual journey and to the other participants in the group. Three conditions are essential to the life of the group. Members must agree to: \n· Commit themselves to an honest relationship with God\, by whatever name called.\n· Participate wholeheartedly in the group process through consistent attendance and prayerful listening and response.\n· Open their spiritual journeys for consideration by others. \nThe group is limited to five participants and is facilitated by Cathy Rosensteel. The group will meet both in-person at the Well and on Zoom as noted below. \nCathy’s group has space for one new person this year. If you are feeling urged to give Group Spiritual Direction a try\, please call the Well at 410-296-9355. We will connect you with Cathy so that you can discuss your interest with her. \nDATES (In-Person at the Well): Saturdays – 9/28\, 10/12\, 11/9/24 and 3/8\, 4/12\, 5/10/25 \nDATES (Online via Zoom): Saturdays – 12/14/24 and 1/11\, 2/8/25 \nTIME: 8:30 – 11:00 AM \nCOST: $250 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. SUMMARY:Sound Soul Weaving: Bridging\, Reflecting\, Discerning\, and Connecting with Self\, Spirit & Community (In-Person Sound Bath)
DESCRIPTION:The practice of sound bathing has gained popularity recently but is actually a healing practice that is thousands of years old with deep roots in cultures around the world. Jenny Ehrhardt has been facilitating sound offerings for the past two years\, incorporating her first love as an herbalist into all that she offers. Integrating sound using crystal chakra bowls\, bells\, song\, and rattles with plants and sweetness from the earth\, opens our hearts and nourishes the soul for the healing of the world. What a perfect combination for the Well community and all who seek soul nourishment and healing for self and others! \nJenny will offer a time of stillness\, sacred listening\, reflection\, and alignment with spirit in the safe and sacred space of the Well. Being able to go deep into yourself while also being in community allows us to take care of ourselves as well as send love and peace out into the world through our vibrations\, prayers and the collective spiritual intention of a sacred community. \nWe will begin with a time of introduction and honoring of each participant\, inviting plant spirit connection to our intentions/prayers and sound healing meditation. Healing sound helps break up trauma in the body and assists in releasing whatever no longer serves us. This is so important in our culture and world today. At the end of the session\, Jenny will share seasonal herbal tea and a sweet offering to help integrate and embody the experience. \nWe are thrilled that Jenny found the Well (literally in her own neighborhood!) and is sharing her gifts of love and presence now as part of the Well community. We invite you to join Jenny and trust this ancient healing process of soul sound weaving for the renewal of your body\, mind and spirit and the nourishment of your soul. \nPlease Note: This session will last 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the number of participants. \nDATE: Sunday\, September 29\, 2024 \nTIME: 4:00 – 6:00 PM (1.5-2 hours) \nCOST: $45 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Thank you! \nFACILITATOR: Jenny Ehrhardt \nFACILITATOR BIO: \nOver the Last two years I have been fortunate to work with two other women facilitating sound offerings on the Eastern Shore. I have seen so many beautiful effects this work has had on so many people\, including myself. I feel honored to be working with the bowls and other sounds to help connect us to something much deeper\, Ourselves. Working with all ages on many different levels\, I see the peace come over most people in a very surprising way. I have been called to create small\, intimate sound offerings right here in my hometown. I am grateful to have found Well for the Journey\, which has been such a sacred place for me this past year. I work deeply with the plants as well and had a small shoppe in Hampden for over 10 years. I have been called to service and I love plants\, sound\, and people who are open to change and learning and being in a community without judgement. Pure Hearts\, I feel this at Well For the Journey and look forward to connecting more and sharing and learning through sound and the plants.

SUMMARY:A Family Mindful Outdoor Experience: “Mind-Body-Spirit” (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:Jamila Keita has been leading creative Mindful Outdoor Experience (MOE) sessions and deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra sessions for adults at the Well for the past year. We are excited to share that\, this Fall\, Jamila will be bringing families together outdoors at the Well to reconnect with nature and create a pathway to better wellness. \nChildren experience stress\, loneliness and other emotions just like adults. And\, just like adults\, they have to learn how to recognize and handle those emotions. A regular dose of nature walks and other outdoor activities teaches people of all ages how to remedy complex and challenging emotions without medication. \nThe best way to learn from nature is to be outside in nature. In this MOE\, adults and children ages 5 to 12 will learn to use their mind-body-spirit to begin the process of “re-wilding” with what nature offers to us. Spending time together as a family creates a lasting experience that we build upon each time we partake at “nature’s table.” \nWe will engage in age-appropriate nature-driven practices to awaken the senses and develop connections with the “more than human world\,” gentle yoga movement to breathe\, stretch & strengthen\, and guided meditation practices to release stress\, relax the mind and promote good emotional health. \nWear comfortable clothes to allow free movement and good shoes for walking a wooded path. Use sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring a blanket/yoga mat to sit on the ground and water to drink. \nPlease join us with the children\, grandchildren\, nieces\, nephews\, or other young people in your life. We all need to get outside and take a breath! \nDATE: Sunday\, October 6\, 2024 \nTIME: 1:00 – 2:30 PM \nCOST: 1 Adult + 1 Child-$40; 1 Adult + Children – $45; 2 Adults + 1 Child – $50; 2 Adults + Children – $55 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W.

DESCRIPTION:A couple of testimonials from Cinder’s last Mosaics workshop at The Well…\n \n“I will probably be the first to sign up if this is offered again. Participants will engage in storytelling\, haiku writing\, and the design and creation of a colorful mosaic keepsake. Our conversations and sharing will help inspire us and quiet individual making time will enable everyone to appreciate and celebrate those we love. \nCommunity mosaic artist\, Cinder Hypki\, brings years of experience guiding groups in creative activities for celebration\, exploration and healing. She brings her mobile mosaic studio to the Well\, offering a sumptuous feast of materials for memorializing in mosaics. We are delighted to welcome Cinder back for her third mosaic offering at the Well. No prior experience with mosaics or any art form is required to participate. Cinder designed mosaic workshops for five Enoch Pratt Library branches during a CeaseFire week. Her storytelling circles aid Baltimore nonprofits to strengthen teamwork on deeper levels. She designed How Are We Healing?\, a participatory community installation for The NOVA Institute\, to accompany Devin Allen’s powerful photographic exhibition of Baltimore’s uprising in the aftermath of Freddie Gray’s death. Cinder also works with individuals to commemorate loved ones through mosaics and other forms of expression. \nFor over a decade\, Cinder taught and mentored students at MICA in their community residencies – undergraduates and graduate students in MICA’s MFA in Community Arts program. Today\, she continues to coach and encourage fellow creatives. \nCinder is a writer and poet\, and the developmental editor of the newly published book Healing and Medicine: A Doctor’s Journey Towards Their Integration by Paul Dieppe. SUMMARY:Horizons Men's Group - 2024-2025 (In-Person Program with Online Option)
DESCRIPTION:Most men do not feel they can talk freely about their spiritual journey. At the Well\, we feel differently. The Well’s Horizons Men’s Group is a place where honest conversations take place about how we live out our spirituality uniquely as men in the world – within our daily living. Past discussions have included the deconstruction and reconstruction of faith\, the first and second halves of life\, spirituality and imperfection\, why do bad things happen to good people\, and what can we learn from other faith traditions – just to name a few! \nThis season we will use Richard Rohr’s book\, Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life\, to help us enter a time of deeper conversations and a growing community. \nIf you are looking for a community where hard questions are welcomed and explored\, we have a place for you. Horizons meets on the third Tuesday of each month (October – June)\, from 7pm – 8:30pm. We will meet in-person with the option to “zoom in” for those who may not live close by or for those for whom “zooming” is more comfortable. Come check us out!\n\nDATE: Tuesdays – 10/15\, 11/19\, 12/17/24\, and 1/21\, 2/18\, 3/18\, 4/15\, 5/20\, and 6/17/25 \nTIME: 7:00 – 8:30 PM ET \nCOST: $195 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 and ZOOM \nREGISTRATION is required; please register here. \nCANCELLATION POLICY: Please read our cancellation policy\, here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from lorie@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program. SUMMARY:Deep in Autumn\, Whispers of Winter: A Sacred Circle Dance Gathering for Women (In-Person Program)
\nFall is a season that shines with beauty and abundance. The leaves astonish us with their breathtaking colors. It’s a time of pumpkins and apples\, the smell of fire from a neighbor’s chimney. We naturally move toward deeper reflection in this season. In Traditional Chinese Medicine\, Fall is the time to look at our lives and see what truly nourishes us and our community\, and what gets in the way of our thriving. To let go of what no longer serves to make way for the new. Fall is also an active season! Life picks up the pace. This is where we will reflect on the coming gifts of Winter\, the season of stillness and deep listening. Together\, we will dance wonderful dances honoring these seasonal reflections and gifts! \nNo dance experience is required (just basic mobility and coordination)\, as the dances are simple to moderately easy\, and the step sequences repetitive. Lisa will gently guide us in the dance steps and share meaningful information on the origins of each dance. Join us for an enriching journey designed for enthusiasts of Rohr and Brown\, or those simply curious about their teachings. Enrich your reading of Rohr’s “Falling Upward” by delving into the power of vulnerability-a lifelong endeavor of self-discovery and authenticity.
SUMMARY:SOLD OUT: Sound Soul Weaving: Discovering the Gift of Yourself in the Holiday Season (In-Person Sound Bath)
DESCRIPTION:This program has reached capacity.  If you’d like to add your name to the wait list\, please do so here.\n \nSome of the glowing testimonials from our Sound Bath at the Well held in September 2024… \n\n“Would love more sound baths. Jenny Ehrhardt was amazing!” – Cynthia Shapiro\n \n“My enjoyment of this program was a 10! The deep resonance of the gong\, the gentle chime of the bells\, the singing of the bowls – oh my gosh! What a beautiful experience! PLEASE offer this again.” – Charlotte\n \n“The group was wonderful and seemed very comfortable with one another. I think Jenny did an excellent job making everyone feel comfortable – whether it was your first time or a frequent program participant. Maggie warmly welcomed everyone – I think it set the stage for a positive experience.” - Elisa Ghinger\n \n“Amazing how she created a sacred and meditative space. Loved it!” – Arianne Rice\n \n\nThe practice of sound bathing has gained popularity recently but is actually a healing practice that is thousands of years old with deep roots in cultures around the world. Well Facilitator\, Jenny Ehrhardt\, has been creating sound offerings for the past two years\, incorporating her first love as an herbalist into all that she offers. By integrating sound using crystal chakra bowls\, bells\, song\, and rattles along with the gifts of plants and sweetness from the earth\, Jenny strives to open hearts and help nourish souls for the healing of the world. What a perfect combination for the Well community and all who seek soul nourishment and healing for self and others! \nWe are thrilled to welcome Jenny back to the Well for another session of healing\, renewal and nourishment during this sacred\, yet all too busy\, holiday season. Jenny will offer a time of stillness\, sacred listening\, reflection\, and alignment with spirit that invites us to take care of ourselves as well as send love and peace out into the world through our vibrations\, prayers and the collective spiritual intention of a sacred community. What a gentle and beautiful way to pause in the midst of the holidays and reclaim the intention of the season for you. \nTreat yourself\, and perhaps someone you love\, to this sumptuous gift of self-care. Please don’t delay! Jenny’s Sound Soul Weaving session at the Well in September sold out in just a few days! \nDATE: Sunday\, December 8\, 2024 \nTIME: 1:30 – 3:30 PM \nCOST: $45 \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W.

SUMMARY:SOLD OUT: Journeying with Mary & Elizabeth: The Blessings of an Advent Community (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:This program is now at capacity.  We have created a wait list just in case someone is unable to attend. \nA couple of testimonials from last year’s Advent Retreat facilitated by Lorie Conway… \n“This was one of the best\, if not the best\, one day retreat I’ve ever attended. The setting\, the material itself\, the readings\, the small groups\, the simple activities\, the private time were in perfect balance. The book is full of riches; Lorie had to make difficult choices and did so beautifully. The stories that were not chosen this time await their turn in future Advent retreats. I hope Lorie will lead them.” \n– Mary Beth\n \n“This retreat was perfect for me. It settled me into Advent\, slowed me down\, and created a space for introspection and reflection. I loved it!!!” – Judy Wright\n  \nIn the Christian tradition\, Advent is the season of waiting and preparing for Jesus to be born. It’s a time of great anticipation! No one was filled with more anticipation than Mary\, the mother of Jesus. In her frightening position as an unwed pregnant teenager\, Mary reaches out for help to her cousin\, Elizabeth\, who is also expecting a baby under some rather unusual circumstances. \nIn Elizabeth\, Mary finds blessing\, acceptance\, and sanctuary. In Mary\, Elizabeth finds joy\, companionship\, and support. As Mary and Elizabeth await the arrival of their babies\, they form a loving community that helps alleviate some of the fear\, uncertainty\, and anxiety of their unknown futures and that of their children. \nAlthough our circumstances are different than those in first century Palestine\, our longing and need for community is just as potent as we wonder and worry about the unknown future of our hurting world. With Mary and Elizabeth as guides for our journey\, we will gather in loving and sacred community\, listening deeply for the blessings of the season in the midst of our unknown. \nYou are invited to join us for this Advent day of retreat in sacred community at the Well. Our time together will include contemplative spiritual practices\, reflection\, periods of silence\, and community sharing. A simple lunch of soup and bread will be provided. \nDATE: Saturday\, December 14\, 2024 \nTIME: 9:30AM – 4:00PM \nCOST: Early Bird Discount (purchased prior to 11/11) – $60; Regular Cost (purchased 11/11/24 and after) – $70. Lunch is included. \nLOCATION: Well for the Journey – 120 W. Seminary Ave\, Lutherville-Timonium\, MD 21093 \nREGISTRATION is at capacity; you can join our wait list here. \nCANCELLATION POLICY: Please read our cancellation policy\, here. \nIMPORTANT: You will receive an email from lorie@wellforthejourney.org at least 24 hours in advance of the start of your program.
