SUMMARY:FREE: Care for the Caregiver Retreat 2024 (In-Person Program)
DESCRIPTION:Are you a family or professional caregiver in the local area who would benefit from a few hours of physical and spiritual respite and restoration? Then please join us for our second annual Care for the Caregiver Retreat on Thursday\, June 27th from 10 AM – 1 PM at Well For The Journey in Lutherville\, MD! \nAt the Well\, we recognize that caregivers have little time for themselves and have a unique need for their own community\, self-care\, rest\, and respite so that they can continue to offer loving care for those in need. This retreat is our gift to you. Caregivers of loved ones or clients with dementia\, a terminal illness\, or a chronic condition are invited to spend some intentional time being refilled and recharged by participating in restorative and life-giving self-care. \nOur spacious time together will open with a brief blessing and end with a brief closing ritual. You will be welcome to select from the below gifts to personalize the remainder of your retreat time: \n· Chair Massage with licensed massage professionals\, Verna Queen and Scott Kover.\n· Guided Meditation with certified Healing Touch Practitioner and RN\, Marna Ross.\n· Spiritual Direction/Companioning mini sessions. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore spiritual direction.\n· A sampling of contemplative practices to try if you wish\, including time outdoors on our meditation path\, lovely grounds\, and inviting screen porch.\n· Time to relax and enjoy light refreshments and supportive connection with others.\n· Light refreshments to nourish your body. \nThe retreat is free\, but registration is required so that we can set up your personalized schedule. Someone from Well For The Journey will contact you to schedule and confirm your personalized retreat before June 25th. \nThis offering will launch the Well’s outreach to this year’s caregivers in the community. Information will be provided about our upcoming Summer series designed for deepening self-care for individuals on the caregiver journey. Please accept the invitation and let us care for you.
