DESCRIPTION:Join us for “Well-Being Wednesdays” each Wednesday morning at 8 AM ET.\n\nDial in #: 1-520-525-8123  (no access code needed)\n\nDid you miss the live call? You can now listen to all of the recordings here. \nLaunched in January 2023\, our Well-Being Wednesday free reflection calls have become a Wednesday morning ritual for many. We continue to provide our free\, 15-minute\, live reflection calls which include a message of inspiration that is contemporized for the challenging times in which we find ourselves as well as a library of past recorded calls. This is a free offering of Well for the Journey to continue our mission of cultivating spiritual well-being and nourishing community. \nFrom 8:00-8:15 AM on Wednesday mornings\, listeners will be engaged by a different facilitator (see bios below.) Various modalities\, including meditation\, intentional silence\, blessings\, and spiritual practices will be utilized alternately by facilitators to express the meaning that the theme bears for them. You can now listen to any of our past reflection calls here. \nThe Following Individuals will be facilitating the meditation calls each Wednesday: \nApril 3rd – Gordon Creamer\nGordon is a retreat facilitator\, spiritual director/companion\, and Program Director at Well For The Journey. He is a native son of Baltimore City\, where he lives with his husband and two Siamese cats. \nApril 10th – Greg Cochran\nGreg is a spiritual companion/guide\, a staff member of two spiritual guidance programs\, and Executive Director of the Well. Greg lives in Baltimore and is passionate about spiritual deepening through nature\, woodworking\, photography\, and good conversations. \nApril 17th – Brian Fitzek\nBrian is a theosophist from the foothills of the Shenandoah Valley. He is interested in astrology\, mythology\, and the intersection of science and spirituality.\n \nApril 24th – Maggie Lears\nMaggie Lears recently retired from the faculty of Towson University and is delighted to increase her time spent at Well for the Journey. She is a certified intuitive practitioner and has been involved with the Well for over a decade volunteering in several circles and facilitating workshops exploring mindfulness\, meditation\, intuitive eating\, and the chakra energy system. \nMay 1st – Fr. Joe Muth \nFr. Muth is the Chaplain of Notre Dame of Maryland University. He was the Pastor of St. Matthew Church for 30 years. He brings to the University his experience of working with immigrants\, gay and lesbian people\, transgender families\, youth\, and the elderly. He is a good listener and reflects on the Word of God with those who seek his counsel. He also likes to laugh with those entrusted to his care. \n\nMay 8th – Cecilia Amaral\nCecilia Amaral believes fully in each human being’s capacity for growth and development including his/her desire to connect with and be guided by the presence of God; however “God” is understood by the individual. A cornerstone of her connection with others is a respect for the wisdom and intelligence inherent in each person. This approach encourages others to listen to the promptings in their hearts and invites them to act with compassion and integrity. \nMay 15th – Freda Marie Brown\nFreda Marie is a Lightworker\, truth-seeker\, healer\, crone\, retreat leader\, writer and an Episcopal priest. \nMay 22nd – Mabeth Hudson\nMabeth Hudson is a co-founder of Well for the Journey\, writer\, program leader\, and spiritual director who focuses on practical spirituality in daily life. \n\n\n\nMay 29th – Donna Mollenkopf \nDonna is a part of the Well community in many ways. She is currently a Women at the Well facilitator and curriculum writer\, and also leads some of the Well’s programs on mystics and other topics. She has also served on the Well’s Board and is the co-author of two books on spirituality. Donna values a contemplative stance and is married with a son\, two stepsons\, and is a happy grandmother. \nJune 5th – Greg Cochran\nGreg is a spiritual companion/guide\, a staff member of two spiritual guidance programs\, and Executive Director of the Well. Greg lives in Baltimore and is passionate about spiritual deepening through nature\, woodworking\, photography\, and good conversations. \n \n\n\nJune 12th – Lorie Conway \nLorie is a contemplative spiritual director\, group facilitator\, retreat leader\, and curious seeker of Divine Mystery who lives in Bel Air\, MD. She is on staff with the Well and the Shalem Institute of Spiritual Formation. Lorie enjoys playing in the dirt and has a passion for deep listening and accompanying others on their spiritual journeys.  \n\n\n\nJune 19th – Rabbi Emily Stern \nRabbi Emily Stern is the Spiritual Leader and Rabbi of Kol HaLev\, a Reconstructionist Synagogue Community. She is passionate about creative approaches to deepening our personal relationships to religion and mysticism through the arts\, self-expression\, meditation\, and inquiry.  \n\n\n\nJune 26th – Lisa Beacham\nLisa serves the world as a spiritual director and Enneagram coach and resides in Baltimore\, MD. Active within her church and the Program Circle at Well For The Journey\, Lisa recognizes her purpose in life is to create a world where people thrive. She loves traveling and discovering new foods. \n  \n\n

DESCRIPTION:This program has reached it’s seating capacity; We have a waitlist available should someone who is signed up not be able to attend.  Join the wait list here. \nHow can we live as joyful people when we are surrounded by turmoil\, conflict\, heartache\, pain\, and life’s inevitable suffering? Even as we experience stressful times\, we can choose joy and radiate it to others. Drawing from The Book of Joy by spiritual wisdom figures\, the Dalai Lama\, Desmond Tutu\, and Douglas Abrams\, we will take a fresh look at themes of perspective\, humor\, acceptance\, forgiveness\, and gratefulness as we choose joy in daily life. \nWomen at the Well is a spiritual companioning program open to all women seeking space to listen for\, become more aware of\, and respond to the Divine in their daily lives. This small group program includes time for reflection and sacred conversation in the community of other women on the journey. \nThis program will be offered in-person at the Well in the mornings and the evenings to accommodate varying schedules and preferences. Donna is the co-author of two books on spirituality and is an active member of her Lutheran church. A graduate of Shalem’s Soul of the Executive program\, Donna values a contemplative stance. Mabeth is passionate about attending to the spiritual dimension of being human in a practical way\, as it impacts all of one’s relationships. For over 20 years\, she has been developing and leading programs for spiritual wellness\, personal growth\, and leadership development. Her workshops\, classes\, retreats\, and writing offer accessible tools to integrate into one’s daily living. \nAfter practicing law for several years\, Mabeth entered into a discernment process to listen for how she could better serve the greater good. She was led to co-found Well for the Journey in 2002. She continues to serve as a program leader and an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors. \nMabeth also blends her legal and spiritual expertise to advocate for people to live well and love well through the end-of-life. She helps people consider what is uniquely important to them as they age and face the final stages of life on earth. She then helps document\, communicate\, and advocate for those desires. \nMabeth holds a J.D. from Emory University School of Law and an M.A. in Spiritual and Pastoral Care from Loyola University Maryland. She is a certified leader of Conscious Aging\, a program created by the Institute of Noetic Science. She is married and has adult children.
