A Compassionate Collaboration: Well for the Journey brings workshop to healthcare givers in training

Caroline Center healthcare giversWell for the Journey is committed to helping people tend to their day-to-day spiritual life, inviting them to create community through meaningful relationships, and helping them find meaning – wherever they are on their journey.

As part of that commitment, the Well is reaching out to organizations and businesses in Baltimore and beyond by taking our wide range of programs on the road via our Mobile Well program.

In July, Mabeth Hudson and Maggie Lears developed and facilitated a daylong compassion workshop at Caroline Center in Baltimore City. Caroline Center, a sponsored work of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, is a nonprofit workforce development organization serving women in Baltimore. Its mission is to empower each woman to reach the fullness of her potential through holistic education and career skills training programs.

The workshop’s focus was to inspire and empower healthcare givers to be more compassionate to others and to self in their work and personal lives. Participants were women at the Center who are training to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA).

Caroline Center healthcare giversFollowing the workshop, Tori Moore-Duggan, the Center’s CNA Program Coordinator, said, “Mabeth, thank you and Maggie for doing such a wonderful job for our ladies here at Caroline Center. Your work and its compassionate delivery is a clear reflection of authenticity, knowledge, wisdom, and love. The ladies particularly enjoyed the Good Samaritan exercise. Please plan on returning. You do a lot of good.”

The Well looks forward to bringing programs to Caroline Center in the future. If you are interested in offering a Well program at your faith community, business, or other organization (does not have to be faith-based), please call us at 410-296-9355.
